I THINK that I remember some of the big steps on this swap.
The biggest thing was torsion bar front springs vs coil springs. Oldest (4 eyed) trucks has coils and this is not good for the swap.

Yeah, I could see that being a possibility. The crossmember where the lower arms mount shows the same in my notes - indicating that's so. But the front most crossmember (at front bumper) would require cutting and welding to mount those two angled "strut bars" and they may need cutting/rewelding as well. So, not for the faint of heart. It's also going to require an expensive fabricator that would be willing to take the measurements and customize things, and have a shop big enough for a Sunrader on a lift as well. Prior reading indicated this was a bolt on, and all the facebook folks claiming that was the case disappeared when I started asking finite questions on how they did it, and explaining measurements and bolt patterns that did not line up. If I start putting that kind of time and money into the front end, it will be a solid axle swap and 4WD conversion! Thanks for your input.

Am pretty sure you can adapt the entire 89-95 setup to the earlier 79-87 frames.
Crossmember and all with some work.
