Same here - I dutifully ran correct 120V wiring hidden in my ceiling to the hole opening for a clean install if I add A/C one day. That was a scant 12 months ago and in the interim the 12V A/C units suddenly got attention from manufacturers and started to become a "thing". So, does anyone know if the 120V wiring can handle the load from a 12V unit? It's solid copper, old school wiring from an electrician buddy of mine.
Ive been curious of that myself. If it something like a 14/2 romex I do not think it would be adequate. Especially considering voltage drop depending on the length of your run. The included power wire included with my 10k btu 12v unit is 6 gauge, much larger than the romex.
