Gary_M
The more legit ads I see for these old Toys are the sellers who have named theirs. I love the description of this one, Dudley is definitely part of the family. Dudley the (1983 Toyota) Dolphin
linda s
Well mine have names and sexes and they are brother and sister. Being nuts is a good thing. My Toyota Sunrader is Baby because she's my baby of course. My Nissan Sunrader has a more masculine stance and his name is Buddy. No I don't need 2 motorhomes but I don't have the heart to break them up Linda S
Derek up North
I can never understand those who proudly announce their Dolphins are named Flipper or Dolly as if they think it's 'original'.
Gary_M
Interesting just browsing the forum how many people gave their rig a name, some examples: A Pink Dolphin named Lola A Warrior named Tator-tot A Mini-Mirage named Molly A Seabreeze named Dolly

Gary_M
^^ Good one! I've been thinking of calling my rig "Wild Thing" aka Ricky Vaughn from Major League. Paint a zig-zag mullet strip aft of cab-over area. 😁

Radchik77
Lucille A song by Kenny Rogers: In a bar in Toledo across from the depotOn a barstool, she took off her ringI thought I'd get closer so I walked on overI sat down and asked her nameWhen the drinks finally hit her she said "I'm no quitterBut I finally quit livin' on dreamsI'm hungry for laughter and here ever afterI'm after whatever the other life brings"In the mirror, I saw him and I closely watched himI thought how he looked out of placeHe came to the woman who sat there beside meHe had a strange look on his faceThe big hands were calloused, he looked like a mountainFor a minute I thought I was deadBut he started shaking, his big heart was breakingHe turned to the woman and said "You picked a fine time to leave me, LucilleWith four hungry children and a crop in the fieldI've had some bad times, lived through some sad timesBut this time your hurting won't healYou picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille" After he left us, I ordered more whiskeyI thought how she'd made him look smallFrom the lights of the barroomTo a rented hotel roomWe walked without talking at allShe was a beauty but when she came to meShe must have thought I'd lost my mindI couldn't hold her 'cause the words that he told herKept coming back time after time "You picked a fine time to leave me, LucilleWith four hungry children and a crop in the fieldI've had some bad times, lived through some sad timesBut this time your hurting won't healYou picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille You picked a fine time to leave me, LucilleWith four hungry children and a crop in the fieldI've had some bad times, lived through some sad timesBut this time your hurting won't healYou picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille also in reference to Lucille from The Walking Dead - look up any number of great quotes about Lucille from Negan but here is one: ”I wear a leather jacket, I have Lucille and my nutsack is made of steel” -Negan “Lucille’s beautiful, smooth surface is never gonna look the same, so why should yours?!” -Negan also in reference to I Love Lucy... Lucille? She’s a ball!
linda s
You are a strange one. Sad hopeless song. At least say it's because of BB King's guitar. That Lucille could reach right into your soul and aren't we doing this motorhome thing to reach a part of us we still need to find? It's an existential journey, not just a camping trip. Can I have a Negan with that? Linda S
tstockma
lol - I play & sing a bit of old-time music, I've been meaning to score out a fiddle part on that song for the fiddle player - so we can throw that in the set list! Yep, "sad hopeless song", but why do I laugh every time I hear it? 'cause it's hilarious too. I can't resist...here's a couple photos of me & Cathy the fiddle player... linda s
tstockma you guys are adorable. love it that you play together. Gandolphin prepare to be cool. Used to be nerdy to RV but with the increasing rarity of these Toyota's it's getting cooler every day. After all they are movable Airbnb's right. Plus covid has made this the only way to vacation. No sleeping in any strange beds or using strange bathrooms. Only home in our clean RV at the beach or mountains. Beyond cool. Tolkien would be impressed. Linda S Linda You are correct, Month of August I spent on the road from Portland, Oregon to Santa Barbara, California where I lived earlier. Camping, Hiking, Backpacking in the Sierra Mountains from 9800' elevation along the way, a 2540 mile trip. Traveling in Toyota movable Airbnb was great fun and the right way to travel in this Pandemic scare. Easy to keep distance, not using any public facilities and still enjoy Byways through small towns, Lakes, National Parks, State Park campgrounds and the great America outdoors. Interesting to note however, I Met few people along the way who did not know of Motor Homes built on Toyotas.
