Is Fridge Gone

Recommended Posts

I have a 5 cf fridge. It stopped working . The electric blanket is hot and I turned it all the way up. There is no ammonia odor either. Any ideas?

We still have no idea what your talking about. What kind of fridge is this. Make model. Not a regular ammonia based RV fridge? I've replaced the cooling units on 2 RV refrigerators and never found anything that looked like an electric blanket. Warm part in the back should look like this. So is this cooling unit getting warm. Have you tried it on propane. Sometimes when the cooling units go bad they make a gurgling sound. Can you hear anything.

Believe he is talking about the 120 volt heater inside the boiler assembly tube wrapped in fiberglass. Generally if it gets hot there it should cool regardless of how it's heated it may have other issues but it still should at least cool..

Continued use the "DUH" comment will almost assure you that no one will respond to your question.

Well duh your self, There is NO electric blanket in back of your refer. There is an electric restance heating coil and a fiberglass insulation.

Ignorance is one thing, attitude is something else.
