oh my. you're going to have to follow those wires. i assume the whites are negative and the reds positive, but you know assuming lets the smoke out, and you can never put it back
you need to know how to test a battery with it, so yes it can work. most auto parts places have a battery specific tester they will use on your battery for free.
cool that dolphin people just changed the seat inserts and covered the door panels. it was easy to reuse the rest of the seat material.
also new carpet. i used the extra cab carpet so i'd have enough to go into the house part
only part of the valve thats important is the face that contacts the seat. you can use a wire brush in a drill motor to clean up the combustion chambers. the head needs to go to a machine shop if the gasket had leaked. the block just needs a stiff putty knife to clean up
at a min., check for flatness with a straight edge. any sign of warp means time to surface. machine shops just run them on the belt sander as a matter of course, saves time and money.
i found on my 84 dolphin the lighting wires are the same as house wiring. black is hot and white is return(neg). i always check with the digital meter for polarity any how.
