  5. all I can say is this is different
  6. the shift rod had no pin on that end. the hole in the fork goes all the way thru. the rod was just stuck in and had a light tack spot weld on the outer end. a way too light and quick spot weld. I was told by my friend who was the Toyota dealer trans man that this was a big problem. I never thought of welding mine I just bought the Toyota re engineered part which had a lot better welding on it. never had that happen again. that one in your pict has been much reinforced.
  7. they did have a front cluster bearing problem. I had an early feb 1977 corona W50 5 speed for 15 years and the front cluster bearing which was a ball bearing. failed. I was told by a Toyota dealer trans tech that was problem and the fix was a stronger roller bearing. the same bearing ball style worked ok in the 4 speed. less thrust on a shorter shaft but would fail in the 5 speed. and another failure point was the main shift rod. the fork end was spot welded on. and the end would brake off and fall down in the bottom of the trans. I installed the upgraded shift rod after mine broke off .
  8. what type of furnace does it have a pilot light that has to be lit by hand older 1970s often do.
  9. a spray bottle of soap is used by some to look for bubbles at the joints
  10. if there was no trouble before the batterys were cleaned. if the cables were un hooked to clean. maybe they were not put back in the right order .
  11. the stock Toyota starting battery ground cable on my rig has 2 leads a very short one to the fender well and a long one to the engine block. I see no ground cable from starting battery to motor block in your photo. Both my dolphin and 4wd have ext same set up.
  12. I had a good laugh at that one as they say dream on.
  13. I have had a Toyota since 1983 a 77 wagon 3 Toyota trucks 2 motor homes never used anything but green preston e or peak. but I drain and replace at about 3 years. I have never had corrosion problems.and had wagon 15 years one truck 12 . have seen heads datson and Toyota eaten up not on my autos but in shops. I would say caused by never changing antifreeze. I will say I have no exp. with late model Toyotas.
  14. yup I paid 600 new for the one I had in my minimax was that same one I think it is the smallest model they offer .
  15. these units are old time not frostless. you need to shut down and defrost at intervals. the home kitchen unit we had growing up was a manual defrost. my home deep freeze I empty and defrost once a year. I am older then the frost free era. I don't know if any rv units are auto frostless.
  16. that is a water heater drain cock. turn right to close it left to drain it I drain myn when not using it . that needs to be shut and the tank will fill with water . before you light it that looks the same as I have in my dolphin. turn gas tank on turn red nob to pilot. hold down the red knob and use a long lighter in the hole to the right THE one under the vent once lit hold down 30 secends to a minite let up pilot should stay lit turn red knob to on main burner should light with a roar.
  17. as soon as you told him to leave . if he does not leave ASAP he is legaly guilty of trespassing. and can be arrested.
  18. we are also retired. daily drivers are 2005 dodge stratis and 88 xtra cab 4wd.
  19. parden me I got confused with the rear sway bar bushings. but I think someone said the sunrader had no rear swaybar. my dolphin does. and bad sway bar bushings and shocks will cause bouncing and handling problems. and I was thinking someone put a rear swaybar on a sunrader and said it made a big difference.

  21. I cant see total replacement . very commen to replace the bushings. urethane I think it is poly urethane bushings. are a modern and much better replacement for the org . and now worn out rubber. I am not in the know on sunraders but someone will be linda has one .
  22. my dolphin came with a deadbolt someone had installed works for us .
  23. I think your sink and shower waste tank may be full. There should be 2 dump valves underneath the back end. The small one is for the sink water and if too full will back up in the shower. Hope this helps. Others will help. I would check that first.
