  1. Security film, window tinting film or best idea is safety glass. All will keep the shards out and usually stay intact, although the pressure of 60 mph is a bit of an unknown. Maybe a hurricane rated security film? Get tempered glass in any case.
  2. 12 "piece" or 12 "place" there is a bit of a difference ya know.
  3. OK will this do? http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-12V-to-18V-5A-90W-Step-Up-Power-Converter-Shockproof-Waterproof-/301068578899?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item461915f053
  4. What is the input voltage to your laptop? If its 12v your in business, if not you will need a pure sine wave inverter to run the AC charger. The truck will keep the coach battery charged.
  5. Well if your looking at the C&C site, might as well look at 16" rims too. Even more tires to chose from. Just ebay LT tires
  6. Buy an RV isolater, not a Ford starter relay. The Ford is not rated for continus use. The normal hookup is alternater and truck battery to one side and the coach battery to the other side. Switch 12v goes to the small middle post, there maybe two small on some isolaters one is 12v the other is ground. The single small post are self grounding so they must be bolted to the metal chassis.
  7. I of the school of thought that about all it can be is the regulator. With the engine off there should still be pressure in the system. If the regulator is leaking the pressure will bleed down and could let the fuel boil as the engine heat soaks when its turned off.
  8. Yea when you put it that way it does sound a bit Grandmotherly
  9. The solenoid isolates the starter battery from the house battery. The only way around this is to jumper across it, then the house converter will charge the truck battery. If you do this DON'T forget to remove the jumper after the engine is running. Other wise you will have 2 dead batteries sometime soon.
  10. Scat has many meanings
  11. Changing out the front seal and installing a Speedie Sleeve on the damper is a common job and should take 2 hours or less.
  12. With the 5/6 lug combos the easy way is to buy an adapter from Custom and Commercial Wheels. Carry a single 6 bolt spare and use the adapter if you have a flat front tire. BTW the adapter is sorta big $$. The other choice is to just carry a 5 bolt spare for the front and just limp in on 3 rear to the nearest tire repair place. That is assuming you didn't actually blow out a rear and shred a tire. Then you may have to wait a couple of days while the shop orders one of the correct sized tire.
  13. "REAL" numbers http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles2/yago102.html
  14. Ixnay on the quad, its way to wide and to heavy. Use a trailer, you can put other stuff on the trailer too. Like extra water for long stays, chairs, BBQ, generator and such like.
  15. PAPER plates (cheap ones) and these http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Paper-Holders-Maryland-Plastics/dp/B0044U571E Reason you have limited water cheap plates are biodegradeable or burn able. Use your water for more important things.
  16. Well it seems that Fiat has bought ALL of Chrysler. So your new New Yorker is now a Fiat New Yorker.
  17. I hope your talking about a 150 amp alternator and not a 150 watt one. At end of their useful life the brushes can cause all sorts of strange things to happen.
  18. Look at a radial tire, they have a side wall bulge at the bottom. If you dont have the correct, back spacing/air pressure/or wrong size tire the bulges will touch and rub. After a while you have 2 damaged tires and a big chance of a blowout on one tire.
  19. I don't know about absolute brightest ever. But Wal Mart has reflective white/red tape in the auto section. I used it on my bumper and carrier to help folks see my camper. Worked great and was easy to find.
  20. Any thing can be rebuilt, in the proper shop .Now is it cost efficitve? Rebuilds are $100 and you know what junk yard parts cost.
  21. Less load, but if you have another motor just use it.
  22. Disconnect the wiper motor and see if the fuse still blows. Yes then switch wires are suspect If not, remove the wiper arms and run the motor
  23. Plan A put a really big fuse in it and wait for the smoke to start Does it pop the fuse instantly?? this is a short. If the motor runs for a time and then the fuse pops, this points to a bad motor, dry gears or jammed linkage
