hamkid
My rig was stolen a few weeks ago. I got it back 2 hours later because I had an Apple air tag in it They pulled the back door out of the trim and wiggled in. They started it with scissors formed in the shape of the key. I can’t put my key in now, I have to use the scissor to start it. Edited December 17, 2023 by hamkid
linda s
So sorry this happened but after all your work glad you got it back. Ignition lock cylinders for your truck are readily available and not expensive but I think installing them can be hard. I would check for YouTube videos about it to see how difficult it is. Example of the switch. Toycollector47
Glad you got her back!!! in all reality, these ignition tumblers are old and getting worn out. I have what I refer to as my ‘magic Toyota key’. It is from my 1986 pickup, but has started 7 different Toyota trucks, (including my 93 4Runner which has a totally different key shape). It’s also started a Corolla, and a farm tractor (can’t remember the manufacturer) Any chance they’ll get the thief and press charges? hamkid
They got the guy. I was on the phone with dispatch while I tracked the truck in real time because he had his iPhone next to the air tag. It was wild we confronted him and he wouldn’t leave, the cops came and got him. Odyssey 4x4
I put this window in mine, it’s nice to have the privacy. Although if you have a permanent screen door, you won’t be able to open or close the window shade while door is shut.
