My absolute favorite vehicle, '64 Chevy pickup, a rusted out, straight 6, three speed on the column (had to hold the stick just right when you shifted gears or it jammed), That was the simplest and most fun vehicle I've ever owned. The gas tank leaked and I "repaired" it with a fiberglass tank repair kit from an auto parts store, Come to think about it, and considering what I've driven in the past, why am I worried about a couple of jerry cans??

Not sure if adding a gas can to the back bumper is really adding anything significant to the "death-trap" equation you already have going.." Funny, and true. And to add to your colorful description, mine was haphazardly attached 25 years, and 142,000 miles ago. Of course on my Dolphin the Propane tank is sitting in a compartment on the rear corner, but then it's protected by a 1 1/4" thick fiberglass and foam panel.

Do any of you that carry 1 or 2, 5 gal Jerry cans on the back of your RV worry about what would happen if you were rear ended? I only ask because I was planning on doing the same thing. When I was much younger and in the service I always had 2 Jerry cans on the back of my jeep, and 3 more between the radios and the seat, but of course at that age it was no big deal because I was going to live forever. So far so good.

The shower surround looks like a nice way to cover the damage. Certainly extended the life of the Warrior. It's always fun to see the ingenuity of the owners on this forum.

I always thought the captains chairs were not needed, and then I sat on the sofa for a while . I'll probably remove the jack knife sofa eventually and build a replacement that's a little more comfortable. No clue how to mount the captains chairs.

No Photos of your time at the festival? Don't know about anyone else, but I think it's always fun to see others adventures.

Not sure how long you waited for it to get cool, but these refrigerators don't cool as quickly as the one in your house. I can take quite awhile to cool down, Hours usually. Last time I used mine the interior temp.was 75 when I turned it on (propane), 2 hours later it was down to 68.

I would be interested in how that Magic Chef fridge works out, I have the same one and was thinking of replacing the one in my Dolphin with it.

The carpet in mine was laid before they installed the sofa frame or dinette . So it had to be cut around the edges of those when the carpet was removed.

"almost as fun as watching people hit A.C unit with head at 5ft-11 I sneak rite under A.C. "sucks to be you..look at me glide rite through" I had a friend come over to my Dolphin, and she's 4'10". She commented on how spacious it was, and so much head room. I was standing there with my head pressed against the ceiling, with the AC about eyebrow level.

I have a '91 and it doesn't have the aluminum sub floor. It looks like someone added it on to strengthen the floor.

That was the original way I was going to do it when I went to the single 6" foam matt, But after I put the matt in I realized it folded so easily, that I just folded it and used the luggage straps to keep it folded. I used the original plywood to fill the gap and this has worked out well. Just a couple of minutes to fold or unfold, the plywood slides up under the folded matt when driving .

Are you perhaps occasionally leaving something on? Check for phantom leaks, disconnect the ground cable from the battery and use a multi-meter and touch the ground post with one probe and the disconnected cable with the other. If there is current flowing from one to the other there is something draining your battery. Do a Google search for complete instructions. Put a battery disconnect switch on the ground connection and turn it off when the RV is just sitting. Or just disconnect the ground cable when you are going to leave the RV for a few weeks

On my Dolphin there is an access door on the outside, and the battery is under one of the dinette seats.

They were referring to flushing the fresh water tanks and lines, not the sewerage tanks. The water you are draining is no different than washing your car or watering your lawn.

I still use the original board that fills the walk through. I just slide under the folded mattress when not in use

I put this in my Dolphin. I can fold it in half length wise and use luggage straps to hold it folded. That way I can still use the walk thru I had to cut about 4" off the width, (at an angle) http://goo.gl/gYwGwf

I've been considering removing the folding couch myself. Not comfortable to sit or sleep on. NIce to see how you constructed the replacement. We will have a foam seat and back cushions.

Are you sure there isn't a section of the bracket that closes across the front. The brackets in my Dolphin looked like they opened from the top, but on closer examination there was a piece of metal that snapped in place and needed a flat screwdriver to pry it open. Also the valance was held in place with screws (some Hidden) and came right off.
