  1. lots of parts here. Try looking at suspension and steering https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1277995,parttype,7276
  2. The more amps the better, but remember these rigs came with a 65 amp unit. I think a 100 amps would just fine.
  3. Go to Home Depot and look for soffit vents
  4. Hot air rises and has to go somwwhere. Ithink your answer is a vented door and chimney with a small computer fan in each chimney. Go to ebay and look for snap switches. They will work great for turning the fans on and off.
  5. Gravity pour fill above the tank, so you can just pour water in from anything and dont need a hose. Keep the hose fill too.
  6. Several years ago there was person selling an RV conversion for a Dodge Sprinter. The neat thing is that it was a self contained, slide in, slide out capsule. It had a plug in connector for 12v
  7. A C is a mark for commercial rated tire (LT185/14 C). Not a C load rated tire. The M&S is mud and snow.
  8. Trust me I needed to stop more often than the kids. The idea of the tank was to fill the car once a month during normal commuting, going cross country rest stop areas become more important than gas stations.
  9. I fly RC model airplanes, some of my larger ones are electric. The motors are in the 3-4 hp range The batteries are large and $$$ Li-ion. This is one of the tools I use to manage the battery packs. Voltage and resting voltage is OK but actual AH under a controlled discharge is the real ticket. http://www.westmountainradio.com/cba.php
  10. If you have the time to wait lay out the plastic out in the sun for a week or so to preshrink it. I usually left one the shed roof for a year before using it.
  11. A 200mi range is 3-4 hr. drive that's a perfect time for a break. This is from someone who drove a VW Rabbit diesel with 26 gallon fuel tank.
  12. What I did. Pressure wash the rims at a car wash. Use self etching primer 1 coat. Then to help hide minor imperfections I used Hammer tone spray paint.
  13. I agree pizza reheated in Microwave is junk. Did you know that a cast iron fry pan with a proper lid is great for reheating fried food or pizzas. Even works on a rv cooktop.
  14. Just open the window and clean off the old weather strip and replace with new. There should be two small copper rivets that lock the release handles, just push then out and open the release handles and open the window. IF you are having leaks between the cab and the window assembly then you need to remove the whole thing and reseal
  15. I had this problem, all it takes is some weather strip foam between the window frame and the body frame.
  16. When I park it everything is fully charged, so all the fuse deals with is a trickle charge from the solar controller.
  17. My Toy days have past and I now have a 26ft Class A. At the current $2 a gallon it gets better MP$ than my Toy did at $3.50. Any way one of the major advantages is the carrying capacity. My camp stuff includes 2 11" Dutch ovens, a 85K BTU burner on 30" legs and a 22" steel wok made out of a plow disc. Camp cooking makes great food. BUT we still use the micro wave when actually traveling.
  18. I use a simple idiot proof system. I use a jumper with a 5 amp fuse in line across the isolator. The fuse will let the house charger charge the engine battery. Come spring just remove the fuse. If you "forget" the fuse will pop when you start the engine, letting the isolator work normally.
  19. We pre cook a lot of sauces and such like. Microwave works great for a fast diner with noodles. Popcorn yep although a cast iron pot over a fire has its points. I guess the way to put things is the microwave is for getting there, the fire pit is for where ever there is.
  20. I have no idea what JDE has, but I got the exact same thing. Both with IE and Firefox.
  21. One of the causes of this problem is lack of support between the floor and the chassis. Jack up yours and crawl around underneath and look how things are mounted and what you can do for more support.
  22. Buy at your favorite big box store. Everything you ever wanted to know about FRP. http://www.cranecomposites.com/index.html
  23. Your 10 battery pack is safe, but won't offer optimum discharge amp hours or battery life.
  24. I use a 3' 2x8 with a 2' 2x8 on top to make a ramp for the front wheels. It gives me 4" lift and ensures good run off.
