  1. Well you don't show the full sender harness, but it looks like 3 wires on the Toy unit. On some toys the 3rd wire goes to a low fuel light
  2. There are some other crawlers in the background of the last photo. Wonder what they were saying/thinking?
  3. Ya sure its for the tire, we all know its hooked to a big rubber band for a DIY hybrid!
  4. Looks like your propane regulator is kaput. Replace it with a modern 2stage regulator. 25$ diy. Your propane less until it's replaced. No monkey mechanicing allowed with propane.
  5. http://supermarinepaint.com/marinepaint/pc/Topside-Paints-c5.htm for the fiberglass parts.
  6. Based on your "experience" could the primer and EPDM have been extended to cover the front of the house. Or is it to steep??
  7. What make and model? My onan has a separate electric fuel pump
  8. Up date Happy Mothers Day. Mom may have extra food this year. http://www.wyoroad.info/highway/webcameras/I80Summit/I80Summit.html
  9. Looks good, FWIW I've always been told no tape on oil fittings. But I don't use AN fittings
  10. Dryer sheets. mothballs. Maybe commercial stuff.......http://www.mouse-free.com/
  11. In my Toy the bottoms are 1/8 ply and were just stapled in a few spots. A knife blade worked to pry up a bit then went for it
  12. Not down the inside, run down the outside though the collar
  13. I cut a slot in the back of the chassis so that the rear side tabs will slid in. OR cut the tabs off or bend them over. Bolt the new converter in the old chassis. Red +, white - , bare wire ground...cut off 3 prong AC connector. Install the lid. Route the wires through the holes. Cut drill a bunch of vent holes in the side of the chassis for the cooling fan in the new converter. PS the lid is on upside down OOPS. Connect +,- to rear of 12v fuse board. The blue wire is the jumper to bring the 12v filtered power to all the fuses. Blue wire jumper good idea, blue wire in back of board BAD idea. To many sparky things to make connect with. See final install. Installed and hooked up, blue wire correctly hooked up. All is good. Batteries very happy. Cost 3 hr and $110 That's all
  14. I hope I can get the pics right. A family we camp with has 5th wheel camper and this winter he boiled a set of batteries dry. He wanted to know what happened. I asked what converter his trailer has, Magnetek 6345. So I explained what happened and the fix was about $200 for the upgrade or new converter. "Ain't happen, I have to buy new batteries now, what choices do I have? Plan B install a deck mount converter in the Magnetek converter. From E-bay a 55 amp 3 stage PowerMax converter for $110. Here we go The villain of the story. 12v fuse board. Most of the big $$ conversion provide a new 12v board with all the circuits filtered because of budget constraints we will install a jumper to make all the fuses filtered. Remove something like this, the pwr supply for the converter. Red +, white -, blue unfiltered 12v. Remove the old guts More soon
  15. Just use a larger ga. wire than the book calls for. It will reduce the voltage loss.
  16. On my Escaper the cabinets have a false floor out of 1/8 ply. Removing it gets you to all the wiring. The cabinet is screwed to the wall at the top rear and bottom rear AND screwed to the ceiling through the upper front frame
  17. There are NO rebuild kits for Onan carbs. ONAN say buy a new one, not the local rv shop.
  18. Windynation.com http://www.windynation.com/-Polycrystalline-Solar-Panels
  19. Help a guy build a plane once, he said something that has stuck with me. " Its hard to make an improvement that will save 20 lbs, but you can make 20 improvement's that will save a pound each time." Check out Birch underlayment it has more plys than 1/2 and is only 5/16" thick. Its what I used when I redid my floors.
  20. 1/4" ply is heavy. If your building a frame , use lauan door skins. Most rv are built using it. as long as its protected its OK
  21. Now all you need is a vent on the other side and some Corvette vents in front of the door in the front fender.
  22. If you think a 30 year old rv is out of true, try redoing and patching a wood floor of a 100 year old house and adding crown molding.
