  1. Onan has a kit to mount them from underneath. Think about all those Roadtrek vans. They don't have big doors that you can get a generator through but they all have generators. . Drops down for service. Linda S
  2. Bargman still has it on their page but several of their dealers say it's no longer available. Bargman also doesn't answer their emails. Bargman has never sold direct so if their dealers can't get it no one can. Linda S
  3. This is the last thing available anything like it. I put one of these in my Sunrader and had to enlarge the hole slightly but fits'. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIGHTED-DOOR-HANDLE-01234-/400272414091?pt=Motors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d3218558b&vxp=mtr#ht_296wt_905 Website will only let me type really small changing font or size makes no difference so hope message comes through alright Linda S
  4. Since it's your moist breath condensing on the window another low tech sloution is to keep the window protected from it. Some reflectix cut to fit the window tightly will insulate and reduce condensation a lot. Maybe even one big piece that wraps all the way aound the front overhead. Be warmer inside too Linda S
  5. Are you talking about clearance litghts? What are we replacing here and I will try to find a match Linda S
  6. Karin I use my ladders all the time on both Sunraders. Always get on the roof to wash them well. Up and down adjusting my hokey little tv antenna. I am not a skinny girl and my ladders are still fine. Linda S
  7. Are you talking about Timbrens? I have heard about them being used with good results on smaller rigs but your Odyssey is one of the bigger ones. Timbrens used to be way cheaper than an air bags system but not any more. A regular air bags system will give you way more flexibility and better support. What happened to the air bags that were on it. Replacement sleeves can be purchased so you don't need the whole system Linda S
  8. I would file a claim against them both. They are both responsible. You should have lots of pics and you should have at least reported it to your insurance company. Wouldn't hurt to get a repair estimate from a licensed shop too. Small claims in California will pay up to 5000. The best and quickest course cause both of those places are going to automatically deny your claim. Do you have any witnesses. Did you call the police when it happened. All matters Linda S
  9. Yup me too. couldn't get on at all a couple of times. Internet connection timed out Linda S
  10. My daughter and son-in-law are putting this stuff in the house they are buying. The best deal out there and beautiful. I had to go check it out cause I couldn't believe something that cheap would fit their high standards but it's amazing. Linda S
  11. Karin, I would love to see a floor plan diagram. Have no idea how all that is going to fit in a tiny Sunrader. People for dinner? That's what picnic tables are for cause they sure won't fit in mine Linda S
  12. This set up is not unusual. Empty the black first and then the grey to help flush the hose. Had the same set up when I had a camper van. It's actually much easier. Linda S
  13. Look online at tires-easy complaints. They have a lot of them. I know JD here just got some achillies tires from them and was happy but many more people got old tires. Sometimes very old tires and never got replacements. Check the shipping prices too. They have their offices in Benecia ca but ship tires from much farther away.. Price sure does go up if shipping is 20 bucks a tire. Call Mr Hubcap and tell him what you want and get a price from him first. He can get some tires not offered by tire rack. Linda S
  14. Well furnace and stove vent from the side. I measured from the top of my rack which is on very top of roof and came in a couple of inches under the brochure measurement so yes it probably includes vents and pluming vents. They do not extend very far above that rack. It's under 9 feet so I probably could make it under some of those fast food drive throughs. Not going to try it though Linda S
  15. Did you have a pressure regulater on that hose. Possible if not water could have been forced into lines it wouldn't normally go. I never hook up to campground water. Just use my tanks. Unless you have a solid hook up to waste tanks too you can overfill your nasty tanks. You got at least 20 gallons in your fresh tank. Enough to last for days. Just fill when you need it Linda S
  16. My Toyota Sunrader is named "Baby" cause a jogger on the beach in Santa Cruz stopped cold when she saw it parked between the behemoth motorhomes and said OMG it looks like they had a baby. She's been Baby every since. My Nissan Sunrader had a more agressive look to it and sits higher and has more power so I decided it was a boy so his name is "Buddy". Linda S
  17. Brochure for the 85 says it's105 inches tall. I just measured mine and seems to be the same. Yours must be very close to that. Of course that's without AC on top. I don't have one up there Linda s
  18. OMG I remembered the post but I didn't remember it being you. Well I consider you to be a pretty smart ,sharp guy and if you can do it anyone can. Linda S
  19. I mentioned before I've seen a Nissan d21 with a fold flat seat and I just found a discussion on a Nissan frontier site where they were asking if anyone had any use for the seat when it folded flat. So I guess Nissan has had them for quite a while. Width should be close. That's what I would be looking for. Of course your going to have to find one with a bench seat. Probably not too many Linda S
  20. There are pretreatments for porus wood like oak at most hardware stores. Prevents the darker grain area from absorbing too much color. You must have some scraps left experiment first with them. If it still looks too dark to you can experiment with some whitewash look stains. make sure your happy before you commit. http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/preparation/minwax-prestain-wood-conditioner Linda S
  21. Back to staining. Oak will get darker than most other woods just with polyurethane sealer. Also the best case scenario when rebuilding a toy home is to seal all wood surfaces before you install them. That water that leaks down from a bad window seal is going behind the paneling not just on the front. I seal all surfaces before installing any wood on my camper. Did the floor and varathaned all sides and edges before I screwed it down. Better safe than sorry Linda S
  22. Well I don't think we should assume it's a pretend post. Maybe he just didn't want to admit he went through the drve through at Taco Bell. Another member here forgot what he was driving and drove into a parking garage. They handle so well it's not that hard to forget how big and tall they are. Accidents happen Linda S Poster guy if you can post some pics I'm sure you could get some good advice about repairing this
  23. Advice on how not to break your fridge is not really scheming to make more money. These guys don't even start replacing the cooling unit until they have checked all the electrics to make sure that's not the problem. The newer fridges that don't require as much leveling didn't come out until the 90's so pretty much all of our toy homes have the older ones unless you have replaced it. Linda S
  24. Read the link I posted and it tells what the gurgle sound is, post 11. Once it's gurgling I don't think you can save it. Need new cooling unit. I just bought one on ebay from a place in Arkansas. Really good place. This is their website. Price was a little cheaper on ebay but can't find any right now http://rvicebox.com/CUPricing.htm Linda S
  25. It would depend on what your fixing. Engine parts can come from Toyota or Rock Auto or any number of other auto parts stores. Camp parts can come from Ebay or PPL motorhome parts or camping world. What do you need Linda S
