  1. I don't know.It looks hungry to me. Something out of a Steven King novel Linda S
  2. Well if your going to go through all this just order here and buy the best. This place ships international and Bilstein's are the best shocks for our rigs available anywhere. Just get the whole set. They will last for years and years. Call cause they have some extra requirements for international shipping and credit card verification. http://www.eshocks.com/bil_veh.asp?Model_Index=3Q17&Manf=All&SubChar=Q Linda S
  3. Or just go right to Ebay UK. Lots of toyota shocks. you of course are looking for a hilux or surf and with the 3.0. I didn't narrow it down all the way cause there might be some models the same that I don't recognize the name. I see monroes and KYB but I didn't go through all of them http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Shock-Absorbers-Dampers-/174092/i.html?_pppn=r1&_dcat=174092&Make=Toyota Linda S
  4. To search for a toyota RV on craigslist go to RV section and type in Toyota. Usually a few just about anywhere you look. That Gulfstream you posted is pretty high priced. I would keep looking if your not going to go with the 78. Linda S
  5. Cause all Sunraders came with the 4 prong one and there is already an extra ground that you have to put someplace. Just easier to buy the same unit Linda S he didn't mention it in this thread but he has a Sunrader
  6. This is what mine came with. http://www.amazon.com/Tekonsha-7001-Terminal-Battery-Isolator/dp/B002OQXIS4 Yours is probably the same. No need for fancy smart ones that I know of Linda S
  7. I'm in the bay area too and I need one maybe 2 front windows for my Nissan Sunrader. I'm gonna try to make one sometime this summer. I'll let you know if it works out. Linda S
  8. No He didn't mention it but the rig is already sold I believe. He also had an ad on Las Vegas craigslist the he deleted later that day Linda S These rigs were not part of the recall anyway. No bathroom and very light
  9. Your electrical outlets are 110 and you need to be on shore power. If you were plugged in possible surge popped your curcuit breaker. Did you check it. Could be a short to your fridge if you turned that to 110 too. Your lights are all 12 volt so they wouldn't be affected. If the fridge is the problem leave it on propane until you get it figured out. uses very little. Linda S
  10. They wanted 325 for installation? Used to be a hundred. For experienced person shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to install. Probably less. That's crazy. Linda S
  11. Friend looked at it today. Engine is blown, not just needs work. No battery in it but owner told him it won't start and hasn't since it overheated. Nice rig though otherwise Linda S
  12. I use only butyl tape just like my windows. Seals around the screws when you tighen them down. No leaks at all. Linda S
  13. This is the part number for almost all years of toyota motorhomes. This is also the cheapest place to buy them. http://www.eshocks.com/bil_veh.asp?Model_Index=3Q17&Manf=All&SubChar=Q
  14. No it's a Sunrader. Battery was probably originally installed in the engine compartment. Linda S
  15. Fine for everything else but won't run AC. I can't see from the other thread with pics what kind of AC you have but check the BTU's and amps needed to run. Most require at least 2500 watts to run. Some smaller ones will run with a Honda eu2000 but they are not cheap. No AC will run with one that small. Find out BTU's and get back to us Linda S
  16. Very nice. Permanent rear bed model is pretty rare. You didn't show the rear axle hubs but I'm sure it's the right one. Most Dolphins got the upgrade because National RV was still in businees for many years after the axle and they made a serious effort to find all of their units and fix them. Linda S
  17. This is the best answer I could find. Should have part number on it. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Where_is_the_turn_signal_flasher_located_on_1991_Toyota_pickup_truck Part number starts with 81980 Linda S
  18. Cause he accidentally hit the caps button and didn't think it was all that important he's rude? 5Toyota is not that kind of guy at all. It's typing not shouting. No big deal. Some of us are particular about it and some of us are just trying to say what we gotta say. Spelling and grammer are not on the high importance list on the internet. Chill Linda S
  19. ABS cement works by dissolving the ABS and making it essentially one piece. I have fixed ABS tanks by dissolving ground up ABS and applying it over mesh to completely cover the hole. I don't think multipurpose cement would make such a complete bond. Linda S
  20. Very good info about the yellow oxide. I have a couple of parts I want to try and make. Thanks Linda
  21. ABS has a higher impact strength especially at low temps. If you ever use your rig in cold weather the PVC could crack from vibration or road hazards. Rv manufacturers use ABS and I would stick with that Linda S
  22. I would just do without the city water connection. I have never used mine based on the recommendation of my friend Tony who has lived in a motorhome for almost 20 years. He said your just asking for trouble cause if anything starts leaking it will be gushing. Imagine a pipe breaking while your on a hike. Soo much water in there your rig could be completely flooded. Using fresh water tank only, all you have to do is turn the water pump off when you leave the rig and your safe. It will never leak unless your in the Rv and you can stop it immediately. I would just cut a piece of FRP to cover that hole in the wall and paint everything including the pipes. I don't think I'd even try to build something to cover those pipes they will mostly be behind you toilet. Linda S
  23. When you tightened the windows down a fair amount of tape should have oozed out on the side of the camper outside. This is what tells you the window is completely sealed. I just cut mine flush with the window frame and no it doesn't collect dirt. Too tiny of a bead cause it's flush with window frame. I don't understand what your talking about the red handles not sealing. They are part of the inside of the window. I will check later today and see if there is any rubber seal there that maybe you are missing Linda S
  24. I checked tires-easy and the shipping to vancouver was prohibitively high. Over 40 bucks a tire because they charge you for import fees and taxes. Probably the best option for someone so close to the US would be to plan on tires when your going on a trip to the states. There is a discount tire in Sequim and several more in the Seattle area. Or maybe have tires shipped to a friend in Seattle and have them installed while your visiting. Don't think border patrol will notice you aren't running on Canadian bought tires. Linda S
  25. I would look for a small 2 door fridge. Always more energy efficient to not have to expose the freezer to warm air unless you need something from there Linda S
