  1. Rest In Peace Derek was always willing to help here and I’m sure everywhere. Never met the man but he made the world better.
  2. I am trying to reinstall light switch that when i originally installed it worked fine. the electrical connections fell off switch and just now getting around to reinstalling. Its been years since i rewired yoda. Now circuit reads 8 volts at wire. I tried to isolate which fuse goes to that circuit on converter to trouble shoot with no luck. I've pulled every fuse and there's still 8 volts showing. I've hotwired light with no switch and still nothing. What am i missing? Other lights and usb plugs showing 12.8 volts. Thanks for any help
  3. You might consider this product for bed platform instead of plywood. It will never rot. Frp panels can be used for interior walls and purchased from depot. You will probably find more rot on walls in overbed area. If the framing in bed area is rotted don't use pine but cedar or a hardwood like oak or maple. Great idea on covering window. Others have posted on covering window with fiberglass cloth and polyester resin or epoxy resin. Read their posts. A boat repair place could assist you better than an rv place. The Roof resealing advice is also good idea. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Veranda-HP-3-4-in-x-48-in-x-8-ft-White-Reversible-PVC-Trim-Sheet-H190AWS13/206822526

  7. hey out there I am thinking of selling my 22re auto Mirage that has not seen much use lately. I always dreamed of transferring to a newer yoda or make tree house with. I am not even sure of mileage over 100k but has foolie rear axle which I drove all over the US with. Not sure if road worthy due to rust, but fiberglass shell in tack. I have held on to Mirage for fun and in case of parts for Shasta but never needed anything. One thing i miss about Mirage is its big back door, very useful. I've replaced numerous things over the yrs, engine ,gas tank, shocks etc Anyone looking for Mirage? I don't think i could get what i think its worth. But would love for someone to put it to use. Any thoughts?
  8. My kitchen sink empties into black tank. Bath sink and shower go into grey...i think Like previous said maybe black needs dumping.
  9. Yes I had similar issue of not starting on my 86 Shasta. It was intermittent, so i changed starter. Same problem. My mechanics Electrical guy took apart engine fuse box and did something which solved starting issue. Wish i could tell you what exactly it was. Good luck
  10. Just getting around to reinstalling old range/ stove. I think an Wedgewood. I bought 3/8 copper tubing and 3/8 nuts. 3/8 nuts wont fit on tank end manifold and i dont have stove at home right now. What size nuts and tubing do i use on each end. Stove and tank use the same size nut right?? thanks for any info
  11. I know what you mean as about the damn leaks after putting so much in. i rebuilt my Shasta yoda, all new 2x3 roof framing and new ply and epoxy resin and cloth. I have damn leak same place. Best thing as others said is nothing beats a big garage or carport. But late last fall i epoxyed small 3x6 in or so piece of cloth over roof and onto metal retaining bar which curves with cabover. Just the part where the roof meets that bar. Only one side. I eliminated metal molding on sides of rv, near the roof, in new design. But had to keep the curved overhead bunk metal strip. I never replaced the screw cover plastic piece to them which but doubt that it keeps it water tight. I think if i epoxied cloth over that metal strip and under bed it would make it water tight.. Any thoughts B.E.D.??
  12. Yes your correct jde i want both batteries charged while plugged in. switch sounds good.thanks for info. Camper is not in use but plugged in to keep house batt charged in cold weather. My engine battery has been going dead in cold temp with no use. Instead of having independent battery charger. I was thinking would be nice to use new internal converter. I dont want to remove engine batt. and put in house. Hope i didnt hijack post
