  1. they use odd prices because if they change the price by a dollar craigslist can't catch it on their repeat ad finder and refuse to post it. The picture of this RV has been used for at least a couple of years in these scam ads
  2. The RA18 sounds like a nice upgrade. Better mileage and longer lasting. Not being an all season tire might be a problem for some http://megatyre.co.nz/content/2012/12/hankook-ra18-light-truck-tyre-update/ Linda S Well it looks like the RA18 is an M+S tire but has a less aggressive tread than the RA08 which is why they are marketing it as a summer tire online. Confusing
  3. But would it be a 4x4? That's what your paying for with the Sunrader. Linda S
  4. Have no idea where you would find that size tire today. Upgrading to larger wheels might be the only option. Seems the only tires that size are ST trailer tires Linda S
  5. Toyota raised the GVWR on the 1 ton 1000lbs just by adding the staggered shocks and a heavier spring pack. This could have even more upgrades that don't show in this ad. Linda S
  6. You think too much. This little old lady just does it and I've never had a problem. I do make a point of replacing the copper washer on the drain plug every other time though. $1.86 at Toyota Linda S
  7. Yes I guess you did. By the way my 1986 Nissan V6 Sunrader the tire specs are for a 6 ply LT195/75/14 Linda S
  8. Boat seat mounts might work Linda S http://www.cabelas.com/product/Way-Locking-Seat-Swivel/699907.uts?productVariantId=1184059&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=00787012&rid=20&gclid=CNGA-fbP2MwCFciIfgodY9EMfw&gclsrc=aw.ds
  9. Yup Dan your right. I checked a Toyota brochure and Toyota specified 6 ply for the dual wheel cab and chassis but 8 ply for the single wheel cab and chassis and the 1 ton model even back in 86. Learn something new all the time. Makes me wonder why all the Toyota camper sites insist that only the 8 ply is strong enough Linda S
  10. I don't think 6 ply tires were on our rigs up to the 90's. My Sunrader in 1986 came with Bridgestone 8 ply tires. Maybe before Toyota was actually shipping full floaters but in that case the tires would have been for a single wheel truck and the manufacturer might have just added the same make tire instead of buying a whole set. I do agree that the recommended pressure was ridiculously low. Mine says 28lbs cold. Linda S
  11. I see no exemptions for seat belts on motorhomes in California. Even all the older motorhomes I see came originally with seat belts in the back. So unless you want to get your RV classified as a limo " click it or ticket". Linda S
  12. Yup very good deal at Rock Auto. I didn't even think to check there. Still hoping it's not that but at least you have a source. No I wasn't guessing on that number. I looked it up and that's the only number for your vehicle and it fits only the 91 through 93 WT chassis Linda S
  13. The model number of your ECM is 89661-35760. It is only for the WT chassis meaning the dual wheel truck. I'm wondering where you found one to order. It's been discontinued and I can't find a single one for sale in America. Even the rebuild places are asking more than 300 bucks to repair it. I really hope that's not your problem. Sometimes in situations like this it's actually cheaper to take it to a mechanic. Find the real problem before you start throwing money away Linda S
  14. Yes I got those huge updates too. I hard powered my computer off because I want to see what they were downloading first. Luckily for me it didn't freeze my computer. Even after I looked and did the upgrade half of them were unsuccessful. Took a couple of try's to get it all to work. All security upgrades. Not a bad thing. I asked my local computer nerd what it was all about and apparently they are to trying to make the 8.1 system safer for the people who opt out of windows 10. Linda S
  15. Unfortunately for me, the Predator is not available in California. Linda S
  16. Well you have to make a choice. Carry an extra 80 lbs of tire and wheel all the time or pay a little more or wait a day to get the right tire. My last single wheel in the back trip I think I mentioned here before. 250 miles and it made it fine. Little rinky dink tire place in the middle of nowhere could have gotten me a tire in a day but I had been off work a month for my granddaughter's birth and I had to get to work. Hey were out there driving tiny little motorhomes. There is risk every time we head out. Yes if I was going to Alaska I might take the extra spare. probably not though. Linda S
  17. I know a couple of people who have been very happy with this generator. Quiet and light as a Honda and runs on a Yamaha engine. http://www.costco.com/Smarter-Tools-2000-watt-Parallel-Capable-Inverter-Generator-with-Yamaha%C2%AE-Engine.product.100121916.html When Costco introduced them they were some crazy price like $399. Home Depot carries them too Linda S
  18. I had to replace the starting battery in my Sunrader last year. Walmart battery. For some reason I thought I'd already replaced it once but I guess not. When I took it out I could see the date was 2004. My house batteries also from Walmart have always lasted at least 5 years. I'm very happy with their quality Linda S
  19. I have an 86 with the different wheels front and back and I only carry a spare for the front. You can drive a long way with only one tire in the back. Just slower. Linda
  20. I do believe this unit would fit into the drop down space at the rear of the Sunrader roof. Wouldn't extend beyond the back of the camper. I love it. I don't need AC often but if it fits the way I think it will, it would look like it was made that way. Seamless. Wonder how much it's going to cost Linda S
  21. I would love to see a link. Hinges for a flip sofa? I have searched many times and never found any Linda S
  22. So glad you finally found one. Linda S
  23. Your Pont-X didn't come with rear fender flares. JD posted this review of them from when new and it only shows the front flares. Hard to find something that never existed. Does look like someone tried to add them at one point but apparently didn't work out too well Linda S
