  1. It says the name right there. Cross member sub assembly front. Part number has been replaced by this https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-cross-member-5120135170 Lots of online Toyota dealers showing it. If yours can't find it go somewhere else. It's all on their computer Linda S
  2. Not a good idea. Sooner or later that cap you fashion will fly off and very likely cover the windshield of the car behind you. Probably why no one makes such a thing. They would get sued constantly. Linda S
  3. That's a newer Tundra and they are huge. Cab height makes a big difference in how the Sunrader will fit too. Lower cab. Sleeker nicer look. I was checking out a couple of beautiful trucks parked side by side a while back. Tacoma and F150. Exactly the same size. If anything the Ford might have been a little smaller. Old Tundras are way smaller than today's Tacomas. Linda S
  4. They are in Australia. Buy them from Japan. I'm guessing they procure them after order and ship direct to buyers country.
  5. Well we already have some Isuzu motorhomes here that were made before 1994 like this one. 1990 turbo diesel 4x4 for sale for 27,500 near Portland Oregon. Only 42,000 miles on it too Linda S
  6. No big version won't fit Tacoma. It's small I can tell just by looking at it Linda S
  7. I thought you couldn't get it off the door. What are you trying to accomplish. Fix the lock mechanism? I'll have to take mine apart again. No easy replacements. There are a couple that fit the door hole but you have to install a conventional plate on adjoining wall like a home door lock. Linda S
  8. Stick it on the Ford. I think the Sunrader shell looks fine on a larger truck. I've seen this one in person and it's the smaller shell made originally as a truck camper they built new sides too. Your 84 is slightly larger all over. It will look great. Linda S You work for Host? Now they make some amazing RV's. Lots of 4x4 ones too. There was one for sale a couple of years ago I totally fell in love with. Earth Roamer size but way nicer. This one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK7FeA-aYgA
  9. Just watched the video of our member installing his gasket again. His gasket looks even on both sides not so offset like yours. Your going to have to check. One side the slot is for 1/8 inch and the other 1/4 inch. They need to be installed facing the correct surface to seal properly. Linda S
  10. Les Schwab here has some serious issues. I had my ball joints replaced and figured I should get a wheel alignment. Les Schwab told me they couldn't do duallies because it wouldn't fit on the rack. Well I ran into a guy at Walmart with a huge lifted dually Ford truck. Bigger than my rig in everyway. With his lumber rack it was even taller. I asked him where he got his alignments done and low and behold, Les Schwab. They don't want your business unless your buying the tires there too. Linda S
  11. Try turning your gasket around. Thick edge should be towards camper shell. Does look like that back edge could be trimmed some. Just go little at a time. Linda S
  12. Looks really clean. Have fun. There is a Toyota Chinook group on Yahoo you might want to join. Lots of owners there with knowledge https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/toyotachinook/info Linda S
  13. Crap. Ya made me take my dam handle off. Inside handle and plate slide right out of outside section. It must just be stuck Linda
  14. Not unless you think those Australians are so stupid they would take off to the outback in a vehicle that had no chance of getting back. They made an awful lot of 4x4 Toyota motorhomes on single wheel trucks. Linda S
  15. You do not have the weight rating of the double wheel axle. You have single wheels and the weight rating of a regular 4x4 truck. Still all over the world Toyota motorhomes continued to be made with the same axle and single wheel configuration that you have. Derek just posted so NO all 4x4 Toyota motorhomes made in this country were built on completed chassis, not incomplete cab and chassis Linda S
  16. Here's a web page that describes Toyota axles. You have the same rear axle as the first one he posts which is his 89 4x4 http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html Here's another one with pics of differentials http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/diffs/ Linda S
  17. It's probably a 3.9 or a 4.1 but if your tag is still in the engine compartment it will tell you. Look here http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html Your looking for a G072 or a G292. The G292 is most likely Linda S
  18. well if it's the one all the way in the front here with holes showing Then this is the part you need. Crazy that you can still get frame parts but here goes. See 51201 in the front https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~crossmember~sub~assy~frame~front~51201-35160.html?Make=Toyota&Model=Pickup&Year=1990&Submodel=2+Wheel+Drive&Filter=(d=USA;1=3VZE;4=STD;7=RCB;8=WT;9=HLF;11=EFI;13=IV6;14=T1)&Location=frame,,51201A Linda S
  19. A few others who have rebuilt from scratch Ben showed all of us what he was doing as he went here but youtube will let you see it https://www.youtube.com/user/benfroggg A couple who built a camper with Nida Core http://thesupercamper.blogspot.com/2006/09/super-camper-construction-begins-nida.html Linda S
  20. Like I said before, the one on the truck is the Toyota frame number, not a vin. The one on the registration is probably an assigned vin from where it was registered. Motor Vehicle Departments seem to need numbers to make them happy. I used to own a Canadian made camper van that had a different vin on the coach than the truck. I had to have it inspected to register but they OK'd it no problem Linda S
  21. I think it's unlikely that they suddenly decided to start making them again for vehicles this old. I do remember when you were having all those problems but you had already gotten your first bad tank and were trying to get them to replace it. I'm afraid I just didn't look then. Sorry Linda S
  22. Rip it out fill with Bondo and sand and paint. Ford Wimbledon white is a close match to Sunrader gel coat color. https://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-EBFM00417-Wimbledon-Perfect-Automotive/dp/B00407XAGK Also available at lots of auto parts stores Linda S
