Damon
I found a 1978 Gypsy. He wants 5k. Has 97k miles, pics look good. I might have a look. Were many made? Also has "Rec air" Some kind of swamp cooler that also runs on 12 v.
linda s
I've only seen a few in 10 years of Toyota motorhome ownership. People didn't think to preserve these RV's cause they were pretty cheap to begin with. And age takes a toll. Here's another owner on this site but yours looks to be in much better condition. Sounds like you still have manufacturer's tags on yours . Be nice if you could give us some more info on it. Where made and such. Maybe a pic of the tag http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5386&hl=gypsy Linda S

Damon
I talked with the gentleman again who owns it. It has single wheels on the rear. I think the price is kinda high too. It does look all original and he says everything works. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to send the Craigslist link! It's on Medford-Ashland Oregon Craigslist, rv section Edited June 25, 2014 by Damon
Derek up North
I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally fitted with 10" wide L-60 rear tires as were Dolphins from the same era. And a GVWR of 4600lb. http://medford.craigslist.org/rvs/4524324760.html
