darrel
My wife and I got tired of the small capacity of the FRESH WATER & POOP tanks. So I'm in the process of installing larger tanks. Have ordered a 22 gallon water tank and a 24 gallon poop tank. They should arrive in 1-2 weeks. Mean while I have torn out these two tanks. Planning for the install has been a challenge. Just researching for something that would fit was, well it was. Mite as well rebuild the toilet, why not a new water pump, new water drain valves, new dump valves, new tank hold down or up strapping, fill old holes, drill new holes, remount the spare wheel, new water gravity fill hatch, boy there must be more and I haven't even got the tanks yet. Will post more when I complete a step. Oh yah a new cork floor for the bathroom.

Odyssey 4x4
Nice job, always nice to be able to be self contained for as long as possible.
darrel
Bought the strapping from a rv store in Eugene,or. It is mobile home tie down. It's 1" wide and what came off the tanks is 1 1/4" wide.
darrel
Here are a few photos of the completed water tank install. Went from 12 gallons to 22 gallons. A new water pump 4chamber and mounted it on some carpet with foam back. Don't know if it is quieter mounted this way but defiantly quieter than old one. Also put foam water pipe wrap on the out side of the pump. Was told it would help with noise. The cork floor in the bathroom is nice. Had to install a new gravity water fill door, if you look close you can see the aluminum wall structure in the photo. This is our front yard frog. darrel
The poop tank is mounted and holds water that means it should hold poop. New valves, they work slick. I don't know if I would ever do this mod ever again. Every thing had to be remounted and custom fit. Still have to remount the spare wheel. Ran out of time, going fishing. WME
I can't tell if its an optical illusion or if the gray drain runs up hill a bit. If it goes up hill then you are not draining all of the tank and that means you have less capacity.
darrel
You have a good eye. Yes the drain is running up hill. It is temporarily supported with a plastic tie. When I drain the tanks I always try to have the rear wheels low.
