Totem
yikes, salvage yards know a victim when they see it. Have you tried finding a yard where they will let you pick a part?

Greg du Vermont
Our 85 Dolphin had a bad door. We took it off, carfully disaassembled it. The aluminum framing, window, latch ect were all good. We replaced rotted cross members as needed and added styrofoam to the areas possible. We went to Home depot and puchased tectured fiberglass wall board, like you would use in a bathroom. Used the old skins as a template, jig saw cut out new panels. Riveted new panels to the inside and outside of aluminum perimeter frame, reinstalled window and hardware. Good as new, maybe better. Looks completly factory and has held up for 10 years. Also used the same material to reconstruct an outside storage door. Less than $100. I rebuilt our's as well although I used pvc sheet for the exterior. Styrofoam was still in pretty good shape so I was lucky there. Rotted cross members were the big culprit for mine so they were replaced.

old goat
My wife wanted to replace the door window frame. Removed the windoe and the indide of the door was bad, dry rot and TERMITES, how do termites get in the door? Rebuilt the door and looks like new. Need table saw to rip wood to size. Dont know why they could not use standered lumber in these things. Now I need to remove the siding to check for termites.
