Red Toggle Switch on the Dash

Recommended Posts

I have had my 1989 Toyota Dolphin for two years now and I'm learning something new every time I use it.  There is a red toggle switch on the far left side of the dash very close to the steering wheel, and I don't know what it is for or does.  If anyone has any information about this switch, I would be truly grateful.  Thank you.

Have you got a functioning isolator?  Maybe it stops your house battery from pulling off the alternator?

Another possibility:- electric engine fan?

I assume you've checked to see if anything 'happens' anywhere when you toggle it? Does it light up?

Can you see up under the dash in the area the switch is located?

What if it is the self destruct switch?

Seriously though, its likely a set of extra lights or something like that. Some folks do non road legal light bars this way.

Some have used it for the optional flux capacitor usually with a lock out cap though.
