  1. Here is the one I bought on ebay. 5M 5050 SMD Flexible LED Strip Light 300Leds Warm White
  2. I bought some like these i think they are smd 50? I cut them in half and put them in my florescent lights. Now super bright. There is a you tube video a guy made showing how to do it. I actually think I need to cut them shorter too bright. I will take some pictures. Henry
  3. I used a long wall mount for a closet so I can slide the rails where I wan them. Used Yakima cross bars. I should have gotten the longest they made. Important part for me is the inside plate. Hidden in cabinet but the roof would have to come off for the rack to come off. The clips mentioned would also work. They can be mounted on the side or the top. Henry
  4. You will need to find a shop that can handle trucks. Here in California it has to be done in a booth. Only 2 places in all of San Diego. I did the front cab for $100 a few years ago. Prep it yourself if you can. Henry
  5. Oh those darn trees! I did it too. Then I stood on the back bumper and used all my strength to straighten it. Bam it broke and I went flying. I contacted the ladder company and bought some new supports from the ladder to the back wall. So now I have more than the original. Drilled though to the inside as suggested. Put large plywood backing plates on to spread the force. Now stronger than new. Make sure to check if the steps are still OK. Henry
  6. ie high flow muffler. I put one on m7 84 sunrader, and wish I hadn't. I believe it was a magnaflow, done at a very good muffler shop. I got the quiet one and I found it annoyingly voom, voom..
  7. I too use Walmart batteries and love them. I forget the company's name who makes them but it is on the battery, and supposedly one of the best. Group 27.
  8. In regards to the IPHONE gps. One of their top executives just resigned because of their navigation program. They have APOLIGIZED AND i THINK withdrawn the app. I use google maps. Have used a garmin for a few years. I find that in the city I like both, ie if they take me the wrong way it is a minor deviation. I stick to paper maps on the highway first and use gps for gas staitons etc. For example when going from San Diego to Agua Caliente campground GPS with Garmin wanted to take me up and over a mountain instead of on a good highway. Buyer beware. PS the stock of most GPS companies have tanked since the smartphones.
  9. I have a mini-x kayak. 9' 6" and I can slide it into my 92 winnebago L shaped couch. then it goes on the floor. A little bit of a hassle but works well. I have put them on a yakima rack I have on the roof too. works well. Recently tried to mount it like the previous picture but on my ladder. It sticks out to far in to the road, it is wide. I Used to carry an inflatable in a yakima roof box but found I didn't use it. May try diagonally across the back next.
  10. that picture is of the 'reflectix'. You can also use black out curtain liners. They are actually white in color. Mine came with it and the curtains overlap the windows enough that it appears dark inside even with lights on. I do put reflectix on the door window, and a drop down from the cabover. H
  11. i used mg virgin lg phone as a hotspot, my new phone wont work for it until a new app is made that is compatable. unless i root it.But I can use it as a bluetooth device to my tablet etc. Not as fast as wifi but stills works.
  12. this is the screen saver from my tablet, with the monitor swung towards the seating area.
  13. I use a bungee to the support arm while driving. It is a 22" monitor. When I bought it twas the smallest size with a hdmi input. I now can run my smart phone into it wirelessly. or my dvd player directly etc. I have since seen smaller ones with hdmi. I like the 22" size and it swings toward me in bed or can swing around the cabinet to face the seating area.I use headphones if I am alone to keep it quiet for my neighbors.
  14. i did mine over the bed. used a computer monitor with an hdmi input. bought the great swivel mount on amazon $20 some Henry
  15. I have unlimited internet on my 4g phone. I got a Samsung galaxy3 with tmobile $74 a month. Tmobile dosent slow you down if you use it too much. Can tether to a computer or buy adaptor to use hdmi out. Costco gives you free sign up etc.
  16. Brass flare fittings will leak if you use tape or sealer. Pipe fittings require tape etc.
  17. Another way to help prevent freezing is to install a fridge alarm. you can set the high and low. and then act accordingly. Also a fan in the fridge helps keep the air moving thus preventing cold spots that freeze. Camco make one with 2 d cells. A guy online at ebay sells one that connects to 12 v.
  18. still forecasting good weather. Only 5 spots left make your reservation now

    Ventilator

    what is this ventilating?
  20. I added a 1,000 watt inverter I got a ebay. I have a 92 winnebago. The battery is under the rv near the front. Therefore I put it inside behind the passenger seat. There was already a hole there ( i enlarged it slightly to pass the cables thru ) Used a strain reliever to hold it in place and stop it from frying. There was also a hole in the battery holder (plastic) used a slip type reliever there because when I check the battery it has to slide forward. see pics. Henry
