  1. Yeah, Take note of the visual check report they fill out. I chuckled when it reported that all my tires were OK @50psi. My duals are 60psi. They don't even bother checking. Do your homework and always ask for the old parts back if they are replacing them. Trust the mechanic only as far as you can throw him!
  2. Give him 40 100's, 100 20's, then ask if he wants 5's (fries) with that. ;-)
  3. You might have look carefully though the rim holes. I still have problems finding mine as they are pretty short.
  4. Agree with Linda on this one fully. Don't let the 10K trip push you into something you would reget later. Cancell the trip until you can take the time to look things over. Good luck to you!
  5. twoblock - What's the deal? We're a melting pot, get used to it... JUSTABANGER - You should vent this out with the BBB. Yeah probably won't do much but at least get some weight off your chest. Big O' Chit IHMO!
  6. A Boatwains mate for sure. I have my whistle from my days but have lost lot of my wind. A boy I assume?
  7. There is a Dolphin being sold with a scap engine in the Tacoma area. There are parts I could use like the dinette, refer and tranny. I would throw in $500 to help part it out with anyone in the area. I don't have the grounds to keep it to tear it up. Just throwing ideas around.
  8. Sounds like a nice trip! Truckers still talk on the CB so get on and razz them when they pass by. Post some pictures if you have them. Well, we rolled up Interstate 44 Like a rocket sled on rails. We tore up all of our swindle sheets, And left 'em settin' on the scales. By the time we hit that Chi-town, Them bears was a-gettin' smart: They'd brought up some reinforcements From the Illinois National Guard. There's armored cars, and tanks, and jeeps, And rigs of ev'ry size. Yeah, them chicken coops was full'a bears And choppers filled the skies. Well, we shot the line and we went for broke With a thousand screamin' trucks An' a long-haired Friend a' Jesus In a Toy-Home micra-bus.
  9. Never heard of a 04 wildcat AC on a toyhome? What is the make of your coach?
  10. Start spreading the news...I'm leavin' today... I want to be no part of it New York, New York.
  11. My Dometic is 4 years old and keeps food cold. Like WME states if the fridge is full is works better. When mine is loaded with food it tends to get too cold and food starts freezing. Mine is set to level 4 all the time both gas and electric. Not complaining, better too cold than not.
  12. I needed bumper caps for my rear bumper to hold in the waste water hose. I checked out the local RV superstore and found bumper caps for $20 a piece was quite expensive. So I went with this alternative: Got milk?
  13. I have a 6 gallon tank so that's some weight loss. Not sure how yours is setup. I have shut-off valves that would keep it from pulling water from my regular water tank. Just draining it might pull the little water you have reserved from you main tank.
  14. Yes... I could use one for a spare if someone was willing to share. Currently have the redneck tire change process in place for my fronts. The smell of hairspray when I seal the tries gets me dreamy.
  15. Also if you don't need the hot water, consider winterizing your hot water tank. A lot of people don't realize that tank is usually full and holds a good bit of water.
  16. Oregon coast rules! A lot of places to pull off and have lunch with some of the most spectacular views around! #1 State parks require no fee pass to enter and look around. Try that in Washington State!

  18. We love you! JD! Has anyone really liked something when it was one thing, and then later not liked it when it changed to something else? Yes I can sure say that but the pendulum tends to swing one way then back the other in time. Washington State...Got rid of the high vehicle registration tax 10 years ago, no vehicle inspection. Lately taxes went though the roof on gas and alcohol. Found that if you cut one way you add in another way. Well you can say too that things are getting mighty weird. Wacky weed is legal now, residential houses are exploding from folks trying to purify it into hash oil. On the bright side my Toy is now exempt from yearly emission testing, we'll see how long that lasts. No one should frown on you for asking questions on the 22RE. 80% of the forum owns a 22 of some kind and I wouldn't care what area of the forum we're in, that kind of question is valid. A lot good things are buried deep in these posts. Even if they are in the right area, forums get to big to find things manually. The search function is best. You can't beat the mechanics here at the forum, JD you are a subject matter expert and thanks for sharing your experiences and techniques with us.
  19. Posts do lead into other topics all the time and this was a result of a trip. The moderators do not do a good jobs of splitting posts into new topics if they do at all. Also why complain when you have topics like "What did you do to your toyhome lately?" Try digging through that one! The moderators should pipe up and tell us if they prefer posts to live their live or spit them off if they run another course. And just for fun facts we just took this topic off to another path. Funny that folks who start complaining end up being the root cause of it all. ;-)
  20. I took a trip out to central Washington this Memorial holiday weekend. Coming out of Ephrata on hwy 17 on Friday I saw 2 Toys heading east for Soap Lake. I left central Washington on Sunday heading back to Seattle on 90, saw 3 more toys. On the long climb up out of the Columbia gorge I had a Sunrader pass me like i was standing still. ;-) The song "Hot Rod Lincoln" came to mind. I've never seen so may Toys in such on such a short trip.
  21. I'm sorry to hear about your loss Greg. One of the hardest part about having these life companions. Where would they have ended up if it wasn't for you? I feel we give our companions the best life they can live, nothing else comes close!
  22. Good workaround there WME! I feel sorry for the new acquired owners of these wooden coaches. Dolphins are good but no one should go with a wood coach at this age. If your buying, much better off with toy aluminium frame coaches.
  23. Got a chuckle on that one...Now that it a serious issue!
