i have been gased before with carbon monoxide at work from rusted out and cracked heaters. are you smelling raw propane i have a 1978 standing pilot. the gas valve shuts off the gas with pilot off you should not smell any gas could be a bad gas valve . but sorry to say those furnece are way too old. gas heaters are aways prone too rust through or cracking open they can and will kill you we worked in a large factory and we were very sick get a monoxide alarm. I do not exp there are even any parts for one that old. i was going to put in a new one bought a newer moterhome instead.I I know of no reson too smell burned propane unless you have holes in the firebox if that is the case it could kill you.

I thought about that too but i did not know if that was ever done. i do have factory wireing digram on the tail and runing lights the orginal books from national rv who made the Dolphin and seabreze. wiring charts on the camper part .i am missing the Chassis manuel. But ext thankfull to have what i got almost never do you get the books . As in the case of no digrams some of the moterhomes we dont even know who made them or where Four minimax known to ext maker unknown place same.

Toyota should be a fuse bloc under the left side of the dash oem ran the truck lights should still run camper running lights . worst case by pass and run new wire but make shure you have a fuse on it. can you see any wires in side in cabnets etc do rest of running lights work . if you have side lights that work and front dont maybe run new wire off them. i had a short inside my 78 lost three lights one side fuses all ok found nothing ever cut off dead head it run all new wire too it . A big thing can be the grounding use a meter i use a five dollor test light the most clip on one end sharp point kind ext. usfull tool, let us know

SOORY THAT IS THE OLDER STYLE DASH I DID NOT KNOW WHEN THEY CHANGE I SEE THE SPEAKER GRILL IN THE TOP I WOULD PROBLY BUILD WOOD SPEAKER BOXZ AND SET BEHIND THE SEATS HAVE TWO DOWN IN THE BACK OF MY 88 XTRA CAB GLUE VIONAL ON THEM.

are you using a roof air why does the onan stop.i only run my wall air parked on hookup. dont know if a 1000 watt would do it. but the honda is a portable unit.

i dont know about the 84 but 86 on have speaker mounts one in each end of the dash sort on the front if you have a grill thing on each end there is a screw there to remove the factury speaker covers. have 87 dolphin and 88 4wd xtra cab . 87 toyrv maybe you have two front speakers there my dolphin has same as you in the back and two in the front dash holes.

if that is the L43 four speed i have the same in my1978 minimax 20r 4 speed same problem it got worse pulled up the boot retaining cups poped out let spring pop up . these are a side mount shift i bought a whole tranie at a yard the linkge is bizzare but easy to change will sell xtra tranne but used linkge take 2500 for whole minimax runs great bought 87 dolphion s. ee on sale site. with xtra parts only 4 minimax known too ext. what is the used one some use the model dometic rm 2400 my book says33 high 23 wide by25 deep next model up is 40 13 16 high almost 41 high i got the book with 87 dolphin what is the used one if not Dometic or Norcold all other company out of busness parts iffe that is same as norcold model n410 in a catlog i have 4 and halfcubic

they vary in size remove it and mesure the space if you google norcold or dometic the two companys that make them they have charts based on the size of opening. my 78 takes the very smallest my 1987 double that . if you know what you found model no or. make. loo up the replacement charts on line i took a old dead brand . replaced with 3 way norcold. the charts tell what replaces what. and all the old dead brands only two companys now you may have a little fit work. sorry mine not at house eather.

Bob C if you live in the west coast states i just bought some of those les Schwab thunderer road rangers. rated 8 ply rated LT truck. another good large company east and west is Big O Tires. Yes running car tires is dangerous . in time the side walls can breack down and result in a blowout. Sorry i forgot you are north east coast. maybe big O is there. In the west we have 480 Schwabs if i have a problem can get took care easy

Derek you pointed out too me that the22re is only 115 hp. that is 23hp less then the nissan v 6 . nether i or any in our family have any knolege of the nissan v6. My son has a 1994 toyota 4 runner that he has ran and ran and then some a v6 also pulls a 13 foot scamp trailer . as for myself Four 20r fours one 22r and two 22res Four in a row is the way too go for me . AS for the fuel system efi my 1988 22re xtra cab has 200.ooo have don nothing to it.

if you remove that screw and the plate is there a cross like part under that ther are so called straner wrenches that hook in bath tub drains and the like. you use that to hold the top piece still while another person tightens the part underneath . i have done a lot of plumbing. you can buy those special tools not very exp. if that is leaking at that metal screen pice you remove the whole top too reseal the metal too shower base as that is plastic not shure the corroct matireal. for sealing it.there maybe rubber gasket under the floor. under thiten with channel locks pliers. my phone no is on the add for the minimax on the adds call i will walk you throughit. i would think could be done with out pulling shower up do in houses one person top too holdit. one under too tighten it .

HI bob we are in the same boat thank fully no stroke but my wife has four blown disc in her back and has colon problems and a lot of other issues. we enjoyed our 1978 so much just bought a 1987 dolphin we used to have an huge tent but could not do that anymore. nothing like taking the indoor plumbing with you. i wish you many good times . the woods of wash state are calling us or maybe Montana)s Big Sky like that place
