  1. The PPL parts super store is really hard to negotiate but this part number comes up for the Emerson. They didn't have a 1400 on the list though but this is the part number for the 1350 and all the other emersons they have on the list. 3108703335 Comes up as 245 bucks Other ones on the site are cheaper. better to measure and find a more reasonable replacement
  2. I made one once from a concrete mixing pan I painted white. Fit pretty good, cut the back off and vents on the side. Cost me 12 bucks instead of the hundred or so they wanted for a universal one. Don't think you could really tell from the ground either. Recent visitor to me used top only of a square dog house. Not bad either Linda S
  3. It's the dealerships job to sell you as many services as they can. It is at many dealerships directly related to pay increases and advancement on the job. Truth is relative. Linda S
  4. The shells are identical so I'm guessing they are all the same in height. Mine is a 1986 short one but the 21 footers look exactly the same but longer. I'm in it now camping for the weekend so I literally took out a tape measure and measured right here. had my foot on the end so it might be a touch bigger Linda S
  5. Try truck alignment places like this. They even have a picture of a motorhome on their website. probably places like this everywhere http://www.americanframeandaxle.com/ Linda S
  6. Take a look at the Safari Trek diesel's. Super nice and can get 15mpg with the 24 footer Linda S
  7. It's just a toyota truck. You have all those manuals so you know how high it is. Just call around and ask how high their service doors are. My son-in-laws lifted Ford truck is taller than my Sunrader so I would think if they can manage a truck like that they could do a toyota motorhome. Linda S
  8. 1995 Roadtrek brochures show interior height at 73.5 inches for the chevy model. My Sunrader I just measured at 72.5 inches so only an inch difference in interior height. To get mileage equaling the Sunrader you will have to find a Roadtrek with the 350 engine. It also comes with a 454 which would get zip for mileage. Yes the Roadtrak will be more stealthy but the Sunrader will seem much roomier. I recently helped a friend buy a camper van and I got very claustraphobic in the Roadtrak style ones. Linda S
  9. Unfortunately possibly fewer than 30 ever made with the v6. About 10 Sunrader shorty's. A half dozen Odyssey's and maybe 6 Four Seasons. I have never seen any other than these few brands. Linda S
  10. Have you done a tune up yet and adjusted the valves. A valve adjustment on the 22re can really add some zip. Linda S
  11. If you ever posted anything about the items that were in the Rv on this site or any other Rv site like the generator or any of the tools you can print out your post and have proof that they were in there. So sorry. I would be heartbroken if it was mine. Linda S
  12. I have seen a few manual and v6 Odyssey's but extremely rare. if one comes up you need to jump fast. Linda S
  13. If that's where you bought it their website claims all the vents are complete. You need to call. Also the weld on the pic of top section looks not to nice and the edge is bent a little. Maybe you should just return it and get another one Linda S Is that a 13x20? This ebay ad tells the size that must be cut to fit it in place. Different maker but I prefer the plastic ones. I installed a metal one on my camper and replaced it within 4 years because it rusted so badly. Didn't leak but looked nasty. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RV-Roof-Vent-Escape-Hatch-13-X-20-NEW-/321093781030?pt=Motors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ac2ae4626&vxp=mtr#ht_3021wt_934
  14. I literally went to the place on craigslist and punched in Chevy or Dodge and put in a 4000 price limit and checked all the ones that came up that had a picture. Truth is the one I liked the best wasn't a fiberglass one but looked fantastic. let me find it again. Found it. Really nice for the year and price. http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/rvs/3815775284.html Linda S
  15. Nice Starcraft. But here's one I am assuming your in the seattle area http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/rvs/3812153052.html And another http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/rvs/3811925488.html Linda S More portland area http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/rvs/3802568586.html http://corvallis.craigslist.org/rvs/3794690200.html http://salem.craigslist.org/rvs/3802636375.html
  16. Just to add, there are quite a few v6 models with a 5 speed. Not as common but they are out there. Linda S
  17. LC's Winnie is a steal. Don't wait or you'll miss it. Linda S
  18. I had a friend who lived in a 18ft Sunrader for about 10 years in Los Angeles to save money to retire early. He just moved around a lot and learned where he wouldn't get bothered. Here's is a link to some manufacturers brochures with floor plans. This is from the toyota-camper group on yahoo and I think you'll have to join to see it. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/toyota-campers/files/Coach%20Manufacturer%27s%20Information/Owners%20Manuals%20and%20Brochures%2C%20Etc./ Linda S
  19. Well you own a Roadtrek. I assume you have seen the Pleasure way and Coachman and other vans like yours. Same differences in a Toyhome. Older ones have a 4 cylinder and 89 and newer to my knowledge all have a v6. Their are a few little models. Winnibago warrior 19ft. A Dolphin 20ft. and the Sunrader 18ft ones. Most are 21 to 22 feet and a few are 23. Not as stealthy as a van. It's obvious you are in an RV instead of a van conversion, which yours can be mistaken for. Top speed for most is 70 but mileage much improves slowing down. Mileage is around 15 mpg for most. Really too general of a question. You need to narrow down what your interested in and then ask. Go find some near you for sale and test drive them. That will tell you more than I can. Linda S
  20. All the Nissan Rv's from the 80's with full floaters have the H233B rear axle. Very heavy duty Linda S
  21. Well Linda has a Nissan and one of the few later ones with the v6 engine. Most Nissan or Datsuns will have a 4 cylinder. 84 and newer will have a full floater. Most have the z24 engine which is a good engine but has a little less power than the 22re toyota. Just fine for a Sunrader shorty though. Older Datsun campers might have the L20 engine and that is supposed to be super dependable. Linda S
  22. Well there is another one but it's a truck camper. Kind of like a mini Blazer Chalet but for a toyota. It was called a Rascal. Have never seen one but I've been looking. Seems I always miss them cause when one comes up it's gone in a flash Linda S
  23. No Toyota 1 ton duallies were ever imported to Europe by Toyota. The closest I could find is the VW Taro. but that's a 1 ton single wheel truck. Yes It's a VW and a Toyota. Worse case scenario I would go with the Taro shocks. KYB has them on their european site and you just pick the one for the 2 wheel drive. No v6's but the 2.4 engine should have the same chassis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Taro Linda S
  24. I wasn't talking about economy hungry. I meant monster hungry. Looks scary Linda
