  1. Linda S: That sounds like about as much as we'd want to spend, ha! How did you attach the cement pan to the whatever it attaches to? That's actually a great idea! As far as the part number, thank you. When I clicked on the a/c parts link it said 'nothing was found to match your search'. Hmm. Okay, I found my way in.... thanks. Yeesh. That's a lot of dough. We will measure and get the exact dimensions. Dan: I suggested the junk yard but DH says then we'll have one as old as the one that just fell apart on us. Maybe a call to some of these places is in order. Thanks for the link. I can't tell if the one in the last link is the same... I wish I could find an image of it but it's so old. It kind of looks like that one, though. In the link to the other forum someone mentions having one fabricated at a metal shop. Also an interesting idea. Well, it seems we have options now. We were kinda hoping we weren't out of luck. Thanks for all the input, greatly appreciated. As an aside: we were surprised at how thin and light that cover was. Nothing substantial feeling about it. Surprised it lasted this long! I don't suppose we should leave this open to the elements for a prolonged amount of time either?
  2. Thanks, we'll check them both out. Hope to be able to find something that will work. This must be something that happens quite a bit? Flying shrouds, I mean?
  3. Hi! Coming back from our fun Memorial weekend camping trip and the shroud from the a/c on our Sunrader flew off on the interstate and is trashed. It's an Emerson Quiet Kool 1400. What are the chances of finding a replacement shroud? Nil? Anyone have any ideas for us? The a/c works great otherwise. Thanks very much for any help or advice.
  4. Is this over and a decal was chosen or is it still in progress?
  5. Man for 400.00 I think I'd buy some at a box store and just keep repeating "four hundred dollars, 4 HUNDRED dollars, FOUR hundred $$" over and over while I painted that small of an area. What about those panels that they sell for milkhouses and such? White glossy with a couple different textures as I remember? Kind of plastic-y rather than wood but you wouldn't have to paint it.
  6. Nice job, it looks beautiful! Doesn't look like enough wall space to use a roller on, though, lol. Thanks for the info, now if we ever find out next Toy.....
  7. When you want to have different wallpaper or maybe paint instead of wallpaper, do you have to take off the old stuff or can you go over it? Is it like in a house that if it's stuck tight just clean it and prime it then re-paper or paint? Not a big fan of the 80's blue and mauve flowers, unfortunately.
  8. I don't know if one has to keep the drawer slides for some reason but if not, I used this stuff in my old sticky, heavy wooden kitchen drawers and now they slide like they're greased! It's really impressive stuff. http://www.rockler.com/search_results.cfm?filter=drawer+slide+tape&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=drawer%20slide%20tape&utm_campaign=Kitchen%20Hardware&ne_ppc_id=bing&mkwid=eTa6541qd&pcrid=181290738&ne_key_id=eqHlwxfis
  9. I hate to sound dense but here goes: when the board is not extended, it only goes about halfway under the cushions? And then how much do you have extended out when you do pull it? Okay, I guess I'm just asking for the dimensions, lol. Do you feel claustrophobic at all up there? Also, I wonder if it could be slid over towards the driver wall/window so as to give a little more room from crawling in and out by the door side? It's a fabulous idea, though and when (if) we ever manage to find our bigger toy I'm going to try hard to talk my hubby into giving it a go!
  10. To the OP: So, is the extension the full depth of the upper cab bed so the weight of the cushions helps to hold the extension board in place? I like it appreciate you posting this. Maybe my hubby and I will be able to sleep together again whilst camping. Did you carpet the whole board?
  11. Okay, it's not really an improvement to the Toy but in our opinion it has been a great improvement to our camping experience overall. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Sport-Brella-X-Large-Umbrella-Steel-Blue/dp/B003DJ4FEM/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1303405828&sr=1-2 We bought one in Camo as my husband thought the other colors were too 'girlie'. Of course now our 16 y/o daughter won't sit under it because it's ( insert disgusted/horrified tone of voice that only teenaged girls can conjure up) "CAMO" Anyway, it's huge and very handy and lightweight/easy to pack along and set up. We cooked under it in a heavy drizzle... my hubby clamped it to the end of the picnic table at our campsite.... stayed dry as a bone. Then took it down to the beach and had a nice, cool, shady spot enabling us to spend the whole day in great comfort. We love it and I thought I'd just share it with y'all since you guys share such good info and your time with so many on here.
  12. Yes, we did just see it.. but front kitchens won't work as my husband has to be able to move the seats back (6'5"). Looks nice, though. Well, the straight arrow Dolphin turned out to be a waterlogged, caulked and duct-taped Dolphin. Nice old guy. Good running engine, lots of pick-up Toyota-wise but quite a project. And he thinks it's a peach for it's age and a great deal for the money. Not. You could just about push your hand through the wall in the shower, there was black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom closet, the right front had leakage and was spongy under the bed cushions, countertop lifting from moisture, lots of delam, etc, etc, etc. So. The search continues. We were looking at that Odyssey 4x4 listed here and it really looks beautiful but that's a lot of money for sight unseen. Sight unseen is getting to be more and more scary to us. Poor old soggy Dolphin..
  13. Over in the Oshkosh/Appleton. We've gotten at least 6 inches of the heaviest, wettest muck ever. Unreal. Can you take pics of it inside the shed and email them to me? We are in a serious hunt for a new motorhome.
  14. Good point on the Dolphin... and if we found the perfect Sunrader, we could always sell the Dolphin, I suppose.
  15. Is it still listed here? I can't see it in the listings... can you post a link? We're from Wisconsin and might be interested.... Thanks
