Yup it's the fiberglass that makes them so desirable. Yes they can leak from windows and vents but it won't weaken the structural integrity of the camper. Paneling and carpet and inside stuff is much easier to replace then rebuilding the walls of a camper. Especially one that has to go down the road and take the bumps and stress of a highway vehicle. Very good find Karin. I don't believe I have ever thought of that or heard it mentioned by anyone else. In most cases I usually just blame the clearence lights but you don't have any and yes taking the window out and resealing it is a big job. Wouldn't have done the trick anyway. Good call Linda S

Ammonia stinks. I wash upholstery with Oxyclean. No smell ,no residue which means they don't get dirty again fast from sticky stuff. I do dilute it a lot. One cap in about a gallon of warm water but everything comes out sparkling clean and fresh smelling. Off brand at dollar store. Cost 1 dollar and tons left over for the laundry. Mine is super light aluminum one. I can slip it in and take it back out really easy. Me old, light is very important. 60 bucks at Harbor Freight. My chairs are bungied to my ladder. Bad if they are on the drivers side. No place anywhere to get them. If so I would get all new ones for that side cause your never going to remember which ones are left hand and which ones are right. I got the best brand, CFS all metal, but when I needed it they didn't have a 3 core in stock. I settled for the 2 core and it never even gets to half way hot anymore. Not even in the mountains. The main thing is it's new and not old and cruddy inside. If your driving with a 20 plus year old radiator I don't care how much you flush it, it's still cruddy inside Linda S

Need to know if it's an 86 and side that needs to be replaced. 86 only has left hand thread on the driver side. All other years will be standard thread Linda S Well I can't find it anyway. If it's the assembly itself that is leaking I don't believe a hole needs to be cut. Post a picture of the faucet and the area where you would have to get behind it. Pretty sure the shower and faucet assmebly dismantles from the front. I will take a look at mine later today and see for sure. Ya know he doesn't have an unlimited amount of money. If you hire one with the evidence he has his attorney will bail because he will realize he might not get paid. Your evidence is overwhelming and his attorney will know he will lose. Most lawyers try to cut their losses. Won't take years cause that mechanic can't afford it. Only big companies can afford to take litigation on for an extended period. I don't get it.Toyota thought it was important to have overdrive disengauge at around 4000 ft. There must have been a reason for it don't ya think. If your driving a 4 banger the trannie is known to fail from the heat caused by the excessive slippage when in overdrive. This excessive slippage also causes reduced mileage not better. After proving this to myself several times at close to sea level on very flat terrain I turned my overdrive off and never used it again. Don't miss it a bit Linda S

Looks like you know what your doing.New floor looks great.That gooey stuff on sealing the trim is butyl tape and it's still gooey because it never drys out so it pretty much seals forever. You need to reseal with the same stuff. Linda S

Did the mechanic say that he had been through this before by email or in a letter so you have proof he said it. That right there proves he knew he bought a skeleton policy to save money cause he's caused damage to someone elses vehicle. Ask the AG if there is any way you can get his licsence pulled or something like that. Of course you could always hire an attorney and sue him directly. If he really owns as much as it sounds like most attorneys wouldn't have a problem taking the case. Do you still live in property he owns? Are you still paying rent there Linda

Well no water is going to come out unless the fresh water tank is full. Did you put water in it? There is also a tank drain somewhere and if it is open when you put water in you will see it drain out the bottom. Your water tank has to be somewhere near that gravity fill tube Linda

If water is leaking anywhere do not hook up to city water. The water pressure will fill where ever the leak is with too much water and do damage. When you run the water pump it pumps water from the fresh water tank. City water doesn't need the water pump on. City water pressure runs the water. You need to find stuff and figure out how it works first. Where is your fresh water fill tube. Where exactly is it leaking. Are the toilet and shower connected to a waste tank or just the kitchen sink. Linda S

What I meant was even though the coolant at the top is hot it doesn't mean it's circulating through the whole radiator which would mean it's not cooling properly. I flushed mine several times and changed the thermo before I realized it wasn't enough. New radiator fixed it Linda S

Yes the axle breaking was cause by stress on the wheel bearings from the fake dually wheels and the offset it created. Low miles could definately have some bearing on why it never broke. Truth is many of them never broke but they can at any time. No way to know until it happens and taking chances on a large moving vehicle is just not a smart thing to do Linda S

Compared to $4500 for a complete rebuilt engine. Yes alot but it will be done right. Some people have paid close to that for just a valve clearence check. And yes as long as they are in there have the other regular maintance things taken care of. Then you won't have to worry about it for years Linda S
