  1. Well that solves that. Here's a Dyna van with the same full float axle and 5 lug front
  2. All my rigs have older power centers and I have heard the AGM batteries are finicky about their charge. Need a more controlled charge than my old ones are capable of. I would love to hear others respond though. Batteries and electricity are so not my forte Linda S
  3. Very cool. One similar was for sale in Florida last summer. I think they wanted 40 grand or something like it. Neat just to spot one though Linda S
  4. Well since I have seen a million RV's advertised with the wrong year on the ad I have to believe they make those mistakes in other countries too. Also I know our cab and chassis came from Japan with reversed duallies on the front starting in 87. I don't know if we could ever find out but it seems likely to me that all of the cab and chassis came out of the plant the same way. Retooling is expensive and wasteful and Japan manufacturers are not wasteful. Could be older. Hundreds of Americans have upgraded their older motorhomes to a full float. No reason to believe an Australian who wanted to protect his family wouldn't do the same thing if he heard about the recall here. Who knows all just possibilities Linda
  5. Well they are definitely not seen there as much as here. I have seen several Sunraders that were made for the Japanese market though that ended up in Australia or New Zealand. Funny seeing them with the entry door on the wrong side. I think I remember another American made camper made that way too but can't remember what model. This is the Australian Winnebago logo though. Look at the front wheels. 5 lug which would make it an 86 or someone switched out the rear axle to a full float. Linda S
  6. And I don't think 3/4's of an inch is ever going to make any difference in anything. I get more rise in just a 10lb adjustment in my air bags. Tires are available that are capable of holding the weight and it is an option to go to single wheels. .8 inches bigger in diameter. A whole 20 less revolutions per mile. 2% discrepancy in MPH which would be undetectable to most people. The later model Winnebago's came with a 195 tire so in that case your going back to factory Linda S
  7. I don't quite understand your need for tires the same diameter as the 185's. If you put the same tires front and back what's it going to matter. Yes here are way bigger load range and still stay 14 inch wheels. The 205R14 specifically. http://www.maxxis.com/catalog/tire-227-104-bravo-series-ue-168(n)#sizes Linda S
  8. Why bigger tires. There are plenty of wheels available in 14 inches with the same lug pattern as the T100 or Tundra. These older motorhomes have a 5 lug in front anyway and the conversion to six with the flipped dually is not something most want to do nor are the parts easy to find. This is the advantage of having duallies in the back. Get a flat there and you can still get to a gas station. My 86 only has a spare for the front. Linda S
  9. Derek I checked the vin and it comes up 86 for me. he's probably fine. Nice buy. Linda S
  10. Here's another one on a Safari chassis. Thread about it is here with links to the build thread http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/62527-4x4-Winnebago-Lesharo-Hideous-Awesomeness/page2 Linda
  11. When I first got mine the timing was way off. It was a dirty throttle body and poorly adjusted positioning sensor. Linda S
  12. Yes I've seen that before Derek. My woodworking skills are not the best and I'm thinking that talent might be essential when building a boat. Most of my house boating has been on Lake Shasta in northern Cal. When the wind comes up those pedals will take you nowhere. You would probably get blown across the lake. A motor would be required. But since were on little houseboats, this is my all time favorite and it too has pedals and side wheels http://shantyboatliving.com/2013/german-pedal-powered-sidewheeler/ Linda S
  13. Doesn't seem to have any motor mount. Sure would be lovely to just have sitting in a lake though. I missed out on a tiny 16 foot houseboat made by Terra Lago a couple of years ago and have been kicking myself since then. Linda S
  14. It's always passed smog and you have barely driven it. No way something like that happened just sitting. Did your other mechanic check the timing too? You don't mention it. My guess is the smog shop has an equipment problem Linda S
  15. Damn that's cute. Is that a slide out in the back. Freaking awesome. Australian Winnebago by the way has no affiliation with the American company. They just stole the name Linda S
  16. Beside Chef Dave we did have another member in the UK. haven't heard from him in a while but here's his thread http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6512&hl=%2Bneed+%2Bparts+%2Bengland We have another member in Australia and the rigs there look to be mostly single axle, non full floaters. They are pretty small though. They pay big money for American motorhomes there and then spend even more getting the steering wheel switched to the other side. No Toyota motorhomes have ever been made for the European market. Linda S
  17. Well here's some. The metal clip inside keeps it in place. Measure carefully. If this doesn't have the right profile, show me a pic and I will find something better. http://www.grainger.com/category/vinyl-edge-trim/vinyl/raw-materials/ecatalog/N-i00 Lots of Grainger's. There might be one near you where you can look at this stuff Linda S
  18. Pre 17 digit vin codes are harder to find out the info. That would be 81 or 80 and older. I found this site that can decode them. http://www.vinwiz.com/ Linda S Oops doesn't work for foreign cars, only American. Never mind
  19. Oh man yours is the deluxe with rails. Isn't it. I feel your pain. I still haven't seen Dave's rig yet. He spent about a zillion dollars. All new double pane windows and more stuff than I can even remember. Soon. Next week I think we'll meet up. A friend brought some stuff closer to my home so Dave didn't have to carry it around. The box and an almost new toilet. Yup he replaced his toilet too. Linda S
  20. Or good old JC Whitney http://www.jcwhitney.com/newark-auto-products-custom-tailored-nylon-cut-pile-carpeting/p2007246.jcwx?filterid=d2183y1977g2j1 Linda S Free shipping and 10% off. Don't know how long that's going to last but puts it in the 80 dollar range
  21. Nice box. As cute as I think the Sunrader booty box is it's not really all that useable. Dave the guy you helped with the value of his damaged Sunrader removed his too. Of course it was pretty smashed. Now I have it. It's fixable but I have so many projects just waiting for my attention. I just didn't want it thrown away. Someone will want it. Linda S
  22. I'm quite sure mediafire has a huge legal department who makes sure their site isn't breaking the law. They not Derek are the ones who would be liable because it is on their site free for the taking. Linda S
  23. Yes if it's cooling don't mess with it. The humidity it removes cools the body just as much as the cold factor. 90 at 90% humidity is really hot but 90 in the desert can be quite comfortable Linda S
  24. Call these places. All found on the car-part place I posted earlier. Don't forget you need the wheels too. If they have the axle they also might have wheels. 25. Fuel pump is inside the gas tank so that's not really an option. Here's some instructions on how to do the filter http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/30_V6/fuel_filter/ Linda S
