  1. You could use Bondo but the marine tex will work fine. Fake off the pieces first then fill and sand. Treat it like an auto body repair. Finish with ery fine wet grade sandpaper. When your done this paint is a very close Sunrader match. Just feather the edges so it will blend https://www.brandsport.com/dupl-bfm0041.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA-c_iBRChARIsAGCOpB37szWj9u-YQehWcdh73tUzweHsHUBsgKI0v-_MPmBR4IhlIcCGESIaAm8AEALw_wcB This color is available tons of places. Many auto parts stores have it so no online ordering needed Linda S
  2. ttttThese for the front https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=502561&cc=1277153&jsn=476 If the are not staggered in the rear they are the same as regular RWD truck shocks so these in the back. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=503584&cc=1277153&jsn=479 There are no motorhome specific shocks going back that far. Bilstein also makes them for the rear. https://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/product.cfm/id/14292/name/Bilstein-B6-4600-Heavy-Duty-Shock-Absorber-Dodge-D50-Ram-50-Toyota-Pickup-Rear-24-188203 You still have the 5 lug rear axle? Might help to remove one of the rear shocks and see if you can find a model number or any info about it Linda S
  3. Actually the Monroe Max air shocks are a problem. A motorhome like this should have an air suspension system, not air shocks. The weight is too much strain on the shock mounts. More money you would have to spend. Linda S
  4. Rock auto not shipping to California is part specific. Most parts can be shipped no problem Linda S
  5. You and Boundfornowhere have so much in common and live not so far away. You should really meet sometime. If not for yourselves at least for your girlfriends. They need to talk. They have no other girlfriends they can talk to about this motorhome stuff. So hard when your so passionate about something and your friends faces go blank the minute you open your mouth. Linda S
  6. Manual? Very hard to find in the V6 models. You really do get better mileage and his stats might be correct. It look like a really good rebuild. Linda S
  7. Looks like you kind of need some other things too. Salvage yard is always my first stop. Linda S
  8. Well it just needs more air. Your carb model doesn't automatically adjust like a fuel injected one. Even with fuel injection 2nd gear going up hill at high altitude is normal. Adjusting timing and carb should help some. There is an air fuel adjustment screw hidden somewhere on your carb that can lean out the mix but don't know where it is. Someone here will Linda S
  9. Yes please show us more. The way that looks I wouldn't want to take a chance on it. Linda S
  10. Also same as Tundra ones https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-18873-999191.aspx Linda S
  11. What's available changes often and you didn't even buy the rig yet. Don't know if the existing reservoir is usable or not. Rig might have a leaky brake line elsewhere or a bad power booster. Wait until you know what you really need Linda S
  12. The ones for the heavy duty cab and chassis have both outlets coming out towards the drivers side fender. Regular trucks the outlets come out the top or some even on the passenger side Linda S You can also see the one at the top, which is for our trucks, doesn't not have a sensor wire in the cap. Mine needed the wire so I had to send the first one back and get the right one. Best if you can save your reservoir. The original ones are no longer available and they are larger than what's available now
  13. The master cylinder on these is different than other Toyota trucks. Still available but make sure you get the right one
  14. Also be good to know if your rig was upgraded to the full float axle. Linda S
  15. Shoulder belts have been required since 1968. Linda S
  16. So does the overdrive button stay in position? Out or in depending on OD on or off. That is a better indicator than a light anyway. I had another member insist that there were 5 gears because he felt a slight change when driving in the drive train. What he was feeling was the torque convertor locking and unlocking It's a very slight change. Gear shifting is way more noticeable. Here's a schematic for the column assembly. Shift lever was sold as 1 piece but is no longer made. https://parts.villagetoyota.com/a/63011130__6708323/CONTROL-SHAFT--CROSSSHAFT/672450-3311.html#33503 Linda S
  17. This is a power steering air control valve. Don't know how that would affect the engine quite so much but your power steering shouldn't be working properly https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5408508&cc=1277872&jsn=481 Linda S
  18. Is it still intact. Try finding a place that makes boat windshields. They form plexiglass all the time. That's your best chance of finding an exact replacement. Other than that you would have to go with a flat piece of plexi to fit into the space. Linda S
  19. It's called a cowl grill and to remove it you remove the wiper arms and then break a lot of little plastic push clips to get it off. Make sure there's somewhere near you that carries a wide variety of auto clips before you start. Linda S buy one of these instead and suck that crap out https://www.homedepot.com/p/Think-Crucial-24-in-Flexible-Crevice-Attachment-Tool-Fits-32-mm-Vacuums-32mm-Vacuums/305847816?cm_mmc=Shopping|G|Base|D29A|Multi|NA|PLA|Major-Appliances|Special-Buys|71700000032418849|58700003842365800|92700030987191770&gclid=Cj0KCQiAg_HhBRDNARIsAGHLV527UiJGLF4Cji4nl1bOIrB4FzPITEz6WIwkXoJ4FsjX9DKResRRCAYaApSmEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  20. Well I didn't think Uhaul ever used any single wheel Toyota trucks. Have you seen this axle? And if it's 6 lug it's either the correct dual wheel axle or it's for a 4x4 truck which I'm sure Uhaul never used. A 1 ton axle is no different than a regular axle. The thing that made 1 ton trucks 1 ton was the staggered shock absorbers and thicker leaf spring packs. Yes many companies still made Toyota motorhomes in different countries with the semi floating axle. They did not use the fake duallies like they did here which was the main cause of the failures. Hard to advise you on whether you should use it or not when I don't think it is what the recycler is telling you. Sounds like you'd be replacing your axle with the same exact thing. Waste of money. Linda S Ask him to measure the lug pattern. 4x4 would be 6 x 5.5" and the dually would be 6 x 7.25"
  21. Well if your headed east your going to hit that 4000 ft altitude again and it won't work anymore. That's just how they made them. Linda S
  22. And I'm back in on my phone. Greg fixed it Linda S
  23. Crap. I tried signing off with my phone, Samsung Android and now I can't get back on. Computer still OK. Linda S
  24. Did you forget and feed them after midnight? All hell will break loose Linda S
  25. I've been informed that several people are unable to access the site for the last few days. Just testing to see if I can post Linda S
