  1. Have you tried this guy? https://sacramento.craigslist.org/sks/d/heavy-duty-sewing/6871149815.html Linda S
  2. I'm assuming your talking about the pilot light on your new water heater? You had to disconnect the old one from the gas lines, why are you not using the same pipes. Where did your existing gas lines go. Helps to explain a little more when asking questions Linda S
  3. Nowhere. If you don't know anyone who sews you would have to order them from a seamstress or an upholstery shop. Could be very expensive. Linda S
  4. Full float Dana axles with real duallies. Don't know if they upgraded the Dana 44 to a 60 for this application but the Dana's were stock on the 1 ton Comanche truck Linda S
  5. Not like a water heater. You do have to push in to get the oven dial to turn, safety, but you don't have to hold it. Sit on floor, turn to pilot and light with the aforementioned long barrel lighter. Helps to light stove top then turn it off to get gas flowing before you move on to oven. Baking in these tiny ovens can be challenging but can be done. Was always my secret for meeting people when camping alone. Blueberry muffins in the morning and brownies at night. The smell coming from your camper is intoxicating and everyone wants to be your friend. Linda S
  6. Definitely factory made. I've seen 2 of those. One in great condition for sale near Portland and one kind of beat up near Mono lake Ca. Both were 4x4 motorhomes Linda S
  7. I sure hope someone makes good use of it too. The Mirage are one of the most unique mini campers ever made. Would look amazing on a newer 4x4 truck. Even American made trucks can work. I saw a fabulous Chevy pickup with a Chinook camper mounted. So cool and your Mirage would be 10 times cooler. Linda S
  8. Yup good old Rustoleum. This vid they used the Tremclad even though they call it trembled. They don't even thin the paint or buff it out. Still looks darn good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIM_dLz1n-Y Buffing after about a week of drying will make it shine like glass Linda S
  9. Toyota no longer makes the rotors but you can still buy the pads from them. Linda S Fitting Vehicle Options: VZN85, 95.. 10. Don't know what year National went from aluminum siding to fiberglass but either way your not painting direct to metal. Not unless your going to strip all the existing paint off. For paint if your not spraying Rustoleum. Google Rustoleum auto paint jobs. Amazing results, bluffs up beautifully Linda S
  11. Yeah you had better tell us what you ordered. Link? Hate to have you get the wrong thing Linda S
  12. Click on your profile, name. From there you can see your activity and go to the threads with all your questions Linda S
  13. Hackers get on the site and post links that look innocent. You click on it and get funny nothing stuff and close the link. Then the virus is already in your computer. They can see your password when you bank and your credit card info. No I think we are lucky that the owner here is a computer guy and can protect us from that. Linda S
  14. They have been down since Greg the owner of this site upgraded the system for security reasons. Seems the classified section wasn't compatible with the new software. He is working on it Linda S
  15. Don't know who "they" is but running 5 lbs less pressure on the outside tire is just a temporary solution so you don't have a disaster before you can fix it properly. Also take into consideration that it's 40 years old and you have no idea what it's been through before you got it. Could be ready to snap. Unless your a pretty good mechanic these can be more than lots of people can handle. Costs to upgrade or service existing axle can be expensive. Some things are not available at all anymore. Where rust is a problem you should know there are no gas tanks made for these anymore. Toyota's data banks for parts now only goes back to 1979. For earlier models your on your own unless someone here can help. Linda S
  16. What you want is very difficult to find especially on the east coast. They are more prone to water damage and most have rotted away by now. Not a lot of Toyota motorhomes anywhere now. Used to be abundant out here in California but now few and far between. Your going to have to be patient and look for a long time. Even in California I searched for 2 years before I found my Sunrader. Be aware too it's very likely what you find will not have the full float axle upgrade. Another 2 grand on top of whatever you pay for it Linda S
  17. Must be this guy https://www.ebay.com/itm/RV-A-C-Starter-Easy-start-your-Camper-Rooftop-Air-Conditioner-SIMPLE-DIY/113142143174?hash=item1a57cc18c6:g:~CUAAOSwOKlcrlP~&frcectupt=true Linda S
  18. First two on this list are the right ones. Don't wait. Fred is right usually impossible to find. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=coleman+mini+mach&_sacat=0 Linda S
  19. Most popular tires are the Hankook RA18 tires. Don't know what's available in Canada so you might have to start calling and find a supplier. They are available from Amazon though and shipping to Canada is probably available Linda S This is an actual snow tire. Only one available now that I know of. For years there weren't any in our size and load range https://www.tires-easy.com/185-14/hercules-tires/hsi-s/tirecode/78388
  20. Toyota still makes the wheel bearings but they are 68 bucks a pop for the rear https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~bearing~for~rear~axle~shaft~97144-06308.html?Make=Toyota&Model=Pickup&Year=1981&Submodel=&Filter=()&Location=rear-axle-shaft-hub,,42311C Here are some more reasonable prices for after market from Rock Auto MEVOTECH H511021 {#9036340020, 9714406308} Info Category: Wheel Bearing $22.99 Add to Cart BECK/ARNLEY 0513350 {Click Info Button for Alternate/OEM Part Numbers} Info Category: Wheel Bearing $24.79 Add to Cart TIMKEN RW130R {#9036340020, 903634002077, 9714406308} Info Category: Wheel Bearing Linda S $47.79 Add to Cart
  21. Your not supposed to have air shocks. I'm not surprised there's no difference in height. They just don't have enough oomph to support the weight of a full sized motorhome Linda S
  22. Yes Kevin they make a 15 inch dually with the correct lug bolt pattern for the Sunrader 4x4 people. The front wheels on the 4x4 are 15 inches and you need the same size tires when you in 4wd mode. The wheels are not cheap. Linda S
  23. Doesn't look like it's screwed on straight. Undo it and double up on the plumbers tape and try to get it on straight. Silicone tape stretched around the outside will help too. https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/industrial-brands/high-performance/specialty-products/Leak-Seal-Tape Linda S
  24. Something like this would work but make sure your bumper is very secure. I'm assuming you don't already have a hitch installed. This one doesn't need one https://www.discountramps.com/rv-bike-rack/p/BC-RV-BIKE-RACKS/?CAWELAID=820562990000010455&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnpXmBRDUARIsAEo71tSIP60tw7tazVZmVYrqfckoNS37A9eIVgEWOb_SZP1VhlCpzPKPSv8aAnhuEALw_wcB Linda S
