  1. Yeah you can still buy them, from Toyota no less. https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~bolt~hub~for~rear~axle~90942-02057.html?Make=Toyota&Model=Pickup&Year=1986&Submodel=&Filter=()&Location=rear-axle-shaft-hub,,42611E I would take the part number in to a nearby dealer and have them order it. Be quicker even if it costs a little more Linda S
  2. I like this one especially the inline fan. Googled the fan, only 20 bucks at Walmart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzNN0u4evLM Linda S
  3. Bulbs are almost the same as my Explorer, just different intensity. Auto socket would work perfect and since it's already for a 12 volt light easy match. NAPA? Linda S
  4. In the dry heat of the desert a swamp cooler will cool that deadly 105 down to about 85. There are plenty of them that run on 12 volts and a roof mounted one the Turbokool, that is pretty pricey https://www.ebay.com/i/163084838401?chn=ps I do a jury rigged one using my roof vent fan to move the air. Not cool but way better than nothing. Only works in low humidity though like Arizona or in my case central California. Linda S
  5. I said never. I always just refill my tank instead of hooking up. Like I said these are old pipes. Spring a leak while your out hiking and hooked up to a water supply could potentially mean hundreds of gallons of water flooding your camper. If you left the pump on but just the water tank for water your looking at 20 gallons of mess to clean up max. Waste water is an issue too. If I only use the fresh tank I know I won't overfill the waste tanks. Unless your at a camp ground where you can permanently hook up waste lines, you have to pay careful attention to how full they are and then go to the dump which sometimes means needing to completely pack. In no reservation camp grounds you might even loose your spot. Linda S
  6. Problem with replacing it is the big hole this one makes. Nothing newer quite that size. Here's your lens and switches can be replaced https://www.ebay.com/p/RV-Replacement-Porch-Light-Lens-White-Specialty-Recreation-Sr33101/1330485670?iid=163473297046 I did find these on ebay too. Looks like unused old stock. Same as yours but they posted the pic upside down. oops forgot to add the link https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Bargman-RV-Camper-Trailer-Lighted-Porch-Door-Step-Grab-Bar-Handle-Assist/113770886243?hash=item1a7d45f463:g:hD8AAOSwyy5c9VWb&frcectupt=true Linda S
  7. You expected me to actually READ it? Linda S
  8. Finding water leaks is no easy task. Check around the pump itself and the back of the water heater for wet spots. Think he means the water heater drain valve on the outside. If not completely shut could cause the problem. Follow everywhere you can stick a hand in and look for wet zones. In a pinch, don't turn on the water pump unless your using water. And never hook up to city water. I've been doing that for years. I mean always. Why take a chance with old pipes. Linda S
  9. Well now it is a Mesa. The one pictured in Derek's post is the Mesa lounge. The regular Mesa has two sofa's that made into a large bed just like yours. my girlfriends Americana had that layout Linda S
  10. Pump activating when water is off usually means you have a small leak somewhere. Water heater is water out at the same flow as water in so it doesn't need to refill unless it's been drained recently. Bypass can be found on rear of heater. Pipe going in, pipe going out. If they are connected on outside of heater with shut off valves that's the bypass Linda
  11. Like Costco but for gas. You join and you can buy gas much cheaper than anywhere else. They also carry a wide range of specialty gas like for race cars. Renner petroleum is the company Linda S
  12. There is a membership gas station near me that has ethanol free gas but their website says they can not sell for your vehicle. Only for small engines like an outboard motor. Think it must be illegal in California. Linda S
  13. hard to copy pics from yahoo. Didn't load in correct order but description If you mean the door itself is sagging out of square, then mypreferred repair is to completely disassemble the door after takingcareful measurements for the window and latch locations. Then I startthe rebuild by cutting a sheet of 1/4" or 5/16" exterior plywood tothe door size, complete with the window cutout. That will make anouter rigid surface behind the original aluminum skin, preventing thedoor from sagging in the future. Next, I rip down well dried pressuretreated 2x stock to make 1" thick perimeter and window frame, withextra blocking added for the latch area. The frame width is determinedby the aluminum edge trim. With the framing glued and screwed in place, the remaining cavity isfilled to flush with insulating foam boards cut to fit snugly. Sprayadhesive is applied to the inner plywood surface to hold it in place. The spray adhesive is also then used to attach the inner and outerskins to the assembly, and the edge trim is reinstalled with a thinlayer of butyl putty tape behind it. After the door has been refittedto the coach, the latch assembly is reinstalled, along with anyaccessory door catches, etc., and you now have a door that willprobably outlast the rest of the coach...
  14. What fuse? I didn't think clearance lights had a separate fuse since they are directly wired to the truck lights. Is it a truck fuse that's blowing? Here is a pretty good diagram for the clearance lights. Found it in old post probably from before Winnebago stopped posting them. http://www.winnebagoind.com/diagram/1992/105970.pdf Linda S
  15. The 3.0 V6 did have some issues with the head gasket. Toyota had a Special Service campaign to fix them. A Toyota dealer should be able to look it up and see if yours has ever been done. If not you can call the Toyota corporate number and they can check it. You have to ask about the special service campaign, if you call it a recall they will tell you there is none. If yours has not been done they are still doing them. Here is the info http://www.google.co...hUlCd3_VgILtC3A opens an adobe file if I did this right Linda S
  16. The window seal you speak of only supports the seal that is between the window and the glass. I assume that's glass. Window is sealed to the frame with the same automotive gunk they use for car windshields. That part that shrunk , it's called window bead. You need to get the right size though. This company sells a sample kit https://www.pellandent.com/Sample-Kit Of course if you have any decent RV repair shops near you they would have it and know the right size. I have replaced it before and it just pushes into place. Some soapy water can help lubricating things. As far as I know plexiglass could be sealed to the frame in the same manner as the glass. If someone here knows it's not compatible with the windshield glue, I'm sure they will tell us. Linda S
  17. Oh you had better be careful. You should know by now, this girl made the beer and is baking the muffins while she adjusts your valves, fixes that leak or gets your fridge to stay lit. Linda S
  18. So you know virtually all vehicles downshift when going up hills, right. Not big deal. OK to step on the gas to keep your speedup but if it's shifting in and out a lot turning off overdrive on the hills is fine. Neither is going to hurt your engine or transmission. Fine to use overdrive on flat roads and downhill too. Of course you can drive 65 to 70. The main thing that is going damage is your wallet. Gas mileage is best at 55 to 60. I will never understand this man thing about going as fast as the other cars on the road. I putt putt along in my 4 cylinder and have never had a horn honk or hit in the back or a single negative response from other rivers about my speed. Only quite a few thumbs up cause my camper is so cool. Linda S
  19. I use one of these https://www.amazon.com/Weber-121020-Go-Anywhere-Charcoal-Grill/dp/B00004RALJ/ref=sr_1_4?gclid=Cj0KCQjwrJ7nBRD5ARIsAATMxsvQk9qYtV1O2uy3gX7m0j7p6C0lNUaQdXM2MLzjeF20ESLHwkIQ__saAjExEALw_wcB&hvadid=324671573425&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9032371&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=b&hvrand=14257977936130415334&hvtargid=aud-648254335185%3Akwd-319455336642&hydadcr=6006_9993593&keywords=small+portable+outdoor+grill&qid=1558737545&s=gateway&sr=8-4 Paid half that price on Ebay though. Had it for years. I just close it up and stick it under the table when not in use. Linda S

    Generator

The vented door on my generator box is where the gen gets it's fresh air supply. Linda S
  21. The thing about these motorhomes is bargains can still be found. Mark and Ed you both know that. Still you MUST know or be willing to learn how to work on them. Depending on hiring people for every little repair can kill a budget. Hey I did it. Gee some people even ask me for advice now. How did that happen. Best thing about a Toyota? I can pull into any gas station or 7-11 and not worry about parking or getting out. Linda S
  22. According to NADA the Granville on the Toyota chassis was only made for 2 years, 86 and 87. So few made would explain your not seeing many now. Good chance half of them are no longer on the road for various reasons Linda S
  23. Well someone got it. Ad is gone now Linda S
