Gary_M
Again this year I took the old Toy to the annual Oregon Star Party. From Seattle out I-90 and onto I-97 to Prineville OR. Then 30 miles out to the Ochoco mountains. What an event this year! We saw everything from the Perseid meteor showers to the Aurora Borealis. Check out the time-lapse video. Here are some still sky shots taken with my Canon EF 35mm old school film camera. Sagittarius - The middle of our galaxy. "I'm a little teapot short and stout, here is my handle here is my spout" Orion Dipper (Ursa Major) setting on a RV Here are some other pictures The old Toy A really really big reflector - We gather around this telescope at night like unicorns and wait for this guy to get something good in view. Then we pounce! ;-) I thought I was seeing snow on the mountaintop on the journey home. Ha, sheep!

linda s
I read that burning man had some sort of CIA created insect invasion full of stink bugs... yikes. They got a rare over an inch of rain in July. Bugs hatch a month later. Not rocket science or a conspiracy. Just the way nature works. They'll be gone by festival time or mostly gone Linda S
