New Guy Here. Just Bought '86??? No Coach Info Besides " New World"

Just bought a 1986 Toyota "new world". It has a few issues. First I've seen a couple people asking about the New World campers and that they cannot find any information about them, I am in the same boat. I was told by the seller it was a mini winnie. It has been remodeled on the inside with all new appliances plumbing electrical and repainted on the outside, so I have ruled out the possibility of getting any kind of updated drawings. It's in great shape besides the plumbing line feeding the shower has come loose, a few small other things, and there's oil leaking from the engine. I plan on doing all these repairs to get it up to par. I have done my homework and have noticed that the freshwater tank is a 25 gallon which sits on top and the plumbing from the shower toilet and two sinks all run to one single black tank on the bottom. I am aware that this could be a nasty issue and not sure how I want to handle it yet. Any information about this camper or any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you !!!

I'm afraid your not going to find much about it. Seems like very few were made and no manuals or other documents about them survived. If there is a manufacturers plate showing where made and any other info maybe we could search some more.

I have looked for the manufacture plate and have not found it yet, only the Toyota plate for the chassis. Oh well, didn't hurt to ask. Do most of the dolphins have waste gray and black tanks?

My 84 Dolphin has both grey and black waste tanks.

Your Toyhome looks great. Good luck with your quest.

Well yesterday I fixed the leaking pipe from the shower. The pipe had come out from the compression fitting completely so I had 2 options. 1: completely dismantle the shower to get to the shower fittings or 2: create an access panel from the out side of the rv. I went with option 2 and it went very well, I now have an acces hole about 6"X8" and made an aluminum panel to cover it up, even found nearly identical matched spray paint for the panel.

Today the coach lights started to fade, after trouble shooting the inverter (blown fuses)and checking connections I found the battery was discharging fluid from the top of the battery, after replacing battery all seem to work good

It has been raining all weekend and notice a small leak from the roof, I guess I'll tackle that and the motor oil leak next weekend

I recall seeing a few tanks on this forum that initially looked functionally be a single piece tank but internally they were divided into two sections, one for grey water and the other for black. It seems likely you might have that style of tank. So don't get too stressed out thinking your waste water situation is not correct as it might be one of that type; unusual but not impossible. Our forum member "Debbit" had one of that kind that she discussed a while back.

Actually if you look at the waste disposal tube is there one release handle or two. One would mean one large tank and two would mean a separated tank. Kind of important to figure that out so you can be sure to empty everything when needed
