DiannaHunts Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Hello Dear Reader, Thank you for stopping by! My Husband and I took this project on last year because we fell in love with the size of toyota motorhomes but we wanted to make better use of its space and modernize the interior. I would like to get the feed back of toyota motorhome enthusiasts to gauge the like or dislike of our work since we are thinking of selling it this year. We have put so much attention and time that now we are a little biased towards it. Your feedback will help me gauge on a list price. Thanks for looking and for the feedback! linda s Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 It looks lovely but did he upgrade the rear axle to a safe full floater while he was working on it. Without that your remodel will take a steep hit on the price. Linda S Quote
Pete1122 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I really like the paint job on the outside, however the inside still looks dated. A few simple things would make a big difference like painting the cabinets white. Quote
linda s Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I'm also wondering if you have ever had it weighed. Weight is a huge issue with the Toyota motorhomes cause the engines are very little. Those cabinets look like residential cabinets. Kind of heavy for a motorhome. The whole unit looks like it may have been reframed too. Did he use lightweight materials and keep the overall weight in mind Linda S Quote
Totem Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 +1 on the axe; check the rear wheels for lug nuts, there should be 6. if 5 the added weight of the cabinets adds to the already bad risk of axle fail during driving where by the wheels sheer off of the rear... Quote
Derek up North Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Good luck with the sale:- http://www.ebay.com/itm/291349327571?forcerRptr=true&item=291349327571&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:SS:SS:US:1120 Quote
linda s Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Ebay posting says enlarged gas tank. Wonder what's there and how big and where they got it Linda S Quote
Skydancer2992 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Dianna, the rear bumper looks great. Did you make that or is it from a car? The outside skin, is it a new layer of fiberglass? Thanks, Marc Quote
Derek up North Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 "... the outer shell replaced from aluminum wave panels to smooth heavy duty fiberglass." Filon, I suppose. The new rear bumper is probably 'repurposed' from another larger RV or 18-wheeler. Too wide for a regular 'car'. Quote

I love the work you guys have done. some rotten wood due to past owners not sealing up properly but I'm working on making this thing a charm again paint looks great and is holding up well. The cabinets and stuff are coming apart due to vibration but other than that this thing is solid! I can't wait to start the renovations again Quote
linda s Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 One question that I don't think ever got answered. Does it have a full float 6 lug axle Linda S Quote
