skippervido Posted November 12, 2014 Share Posted November 12, 2014 I am draining the water lines in my Warrior using the 4 drain plugs. I pulled the metal rings and got 3 open but on the 4th one the metal ring opened and now I don't have anything to pull on. I may be able to put my vise grips on the plunger and pull but am afraid of damaging it. I don't know what to use to try threading through the hole where the metal ring was. linda s Posted November 12, 2014 Share Posted November 12, 2014 Try threading some heavy fishing line through the hole. Should be strong enough to pull without breaking. Or just wire. GEric Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 What ever you do be very CAREFUL not to damage the fitting. I have a '90 Warrior that developed leaks at the top seal around the plunger. After removing the fitting I discovered the problem. The O ring seals just gave up after 25 years. I was never able to find replace O rings of the right size. Winnebago was no help. I am in the midst of making new drain valves from CVC pipe. It looks sort of Rube Goldberg, but seems to be working. I now have two old Warrior fittings if anyone would like to have them. Back East Don Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 When I rehabbed mine I looked at those valves with some curiosity as I first tried to figure them out. Once I got the idea of what they were for and found they were pretty finicky if not seated just right, I looked to replace them with Pex valves and fittings. At the time I found a company that sold online and ordered up enough to redo all of them and then some. Still have a bag of fittings. Got left over T's, elbows and couplers.
