zero
I got a message in my regular email this morning telling me my mailbox here was full. Silly me. I didn't even know I HAD a mailbox here. Or if I ever did - I soon forgot. Never noticed the little red button on top right. So sorry for any message that I did not reply too (if they weren't nasty ones). I just joined the modern technical world and emptied the mailbox this morning. I don't want anybody to think I was just ignoring them. Derek up North
I know how easy it is to miss the little red dot too. It sure would be nice if users could chose to make it bigger and maybe flashing. My eyes certainly aren't getting younger!
linda s
When someone sends me a message here I get an email sent to my personal email. I thought everyone did. Linda S
Riverman77
Linda, That's how mine works too. I got an email telling me I had a PM waiting for me. It was another kind person replying about my previous issue on the "fuel Filler Hose". But, Derek is correct, I too sometimes overlook the small, little red dot. ~Riverman77
Gary_M
Space is cheap! 50 message limit for your private mail is pretty lame.
WME
Red dot??????????
Derek up North
I guess it's better described as a red, 'square dot'!
Riverman77
WME, It's red somethi'n er other? I duh know. I never really looked at it and it's rare that anyone ever PM's me anyhow. But, it is a nice personal touch that Linda has included into her web site. Thank you Linda! (assuming you helped with the idea) ~Riverman77
linda s
This is totally not my website. Started by Greg and still run by him. I just moderate, whatever that means. I get lots of PM's that all go to my email too. I still need to come back here to respond to them. I guess that some people don't get them forwarded to there explains why some of my questions go unanswered. Exchanging of personal info like phone numbers and addresses is always better done privately and personal emails posted can sometimes be a problem too. I recently got an email from a complete stranger who is not even a member here. I posted my email years ago for someone and forgot about it. Non members can read this site, just not post. He turned out to be a nice guy but he could have easily been a weird stalker guy. You guys are vulnerable to weirdo's too. PM messages on this board are closed and no one gets your email unless you want them too, privately. Linda S
Riverman77
Linda, I simply "assumed" that you may have been part co-creator of this great website. It seems as if I have read some of your posts like: "...over here at 'my' site". But, I must have been mistaken. Thank you for clearing that up for me. And also, for the explanation of how the PM message board functions. ~Riverman77
linda s
References to my site usually means the yahoo group minitruckcampers which I currently own. Still not founded by me. Just inherited from someone who lost interest. Abandoned group sites with no one to maintain them become horrible pits for porn and scammers. I hate to see all the good information and photos lost to people who might need them so I try to step in and keep it alive. Linda S
Gary_M
Linda - Starting a Wiki would be the best way to keep good information, at least from a high overview. Forums and companies like Yahoo can go in a heartbeat. Yes I run forums but I have disaster-recovery in place and can run a mirror copy from the server here at the house if needed. Even then I could get disgruntled and shut it down. Oh well.. do the best you can. Lot of folks do keep stuff stored on the local hard drives, just takes a while to re-propagate back out to the masses.
