With the sway-bar arm horizontal, the end link needs to be vertical as possible in all directions.

im also about to install a sway bar on my rig. i pulled it from a factory cab chassis. if i remember correctly it goes somewhere over here on the vertical inside wall. there may be factory holes in the frame already.

You can see in this photo where the rear sway bar is attached on my 1990 4x4...
