Hey everyone. We got a 1985 Sunrader 2 years ago. Love it. One of the previous owners painted (with a brush) a thick white coating on the roof. Brush strokes and globs everywhere. It is not glossy, more chalky than anything and it holds dirt like crazy. Anyone know what it is and how to remove it so I can redo it correctly?

It might be an EPDM roll on roof coating

The glops and brush strokes makes it sound like standard roof coat. Best way to get if off is a putty knife and carefully scraping it off. Use plastic one if possible. Anywhere you get through to the fiberglass, brush on some goo gone to help release it from the surface. Heat from sun helps goo gone work. At some point you might find yourself peeling large sheets off.

A pressure washer is another option but be very careful to keep it away from vents. work small area at a time and see if the edges start to peel
