Barbara
There are patches of caulk all over the roof of my Sunrader. I decided to remove it and and have a look. Each spot revealed a crack of varying size with a black circle drawn around it (permanent marker). Now it has more of a spotted leopard look with all those black circles everywhere. Jeez. The cracks don’t look deep and I am wondering if all that patching is overkill? Isn’t fiberglass pretty darned waterproof, or do I need to reapply caulk? Thanks in advance you for your kindly advice. linda s
They are not serious. It's just cracked gel coat. You do need to clean them really good but then you can fill them with fiberglass repair or even tub crack filler. You want a product that you can sand with ultra fine sandpaper after it dries. Derek up North
I'd clean the cracks out with a Dremel and fill with gel coat and a fine brush.
