  1. This kind of repair stops the leak, but how safe is it in a wreck? I would recomend a new tank. But how safe are our homes in a wreck anyway?
  2. It sounds like you might have a bad radiator, or even a bad head gasket - needs to be looked at to determine the right repair, even a small coolant leak alowing air to enter the system can cause overheating.
  3. The dip stick can be trusted, but the unit (or truck frame) needs to be level, and running. The level will change with the temp. of the tranny. The full mark is when the transmission is at 180* and the low mark could be fill if the transmission is cold. Grab hold of the dip stick if its uncomfortable use the high mark. The dip stick will go in easyer if you try to turn the stick. it needs to flex around the bends. If your unit sits like mind the rear is highter when parked on a flat surface, if this is the case you need to level up the front end to check the tran.
  4. No gauge, but they weight it, and yes they should only fill to 80% so gas comes out, and not liquid. or 16lbs. in a 20 lb tank
  5. I have been to 4 different refill stations, and the most LP gas they put in my 20lb tank is 11 lbs. claiming this is full?, Price is secondary, I dont like running out so frequently? has any one else had this problem, and or a fix?
  6. For my sea Breeze I used the proper 1988 1ton toy exhaust from NAPA - walker exhaust, plus a 10 ft pc of straight pipe cut to fit and a couple of elbows, this was a direct bolt up and no torch or major cutting needed, (one hack saw cut for 10ft pipe). replace from the converter back. The toyota exhaust covers to the rear of the axle, from there you need to add a couple of elbows and the long pipe.
  7. my air bags havn't popped yet but are looking bad. Thanks for the infor - I have ordered replacements today
  8. As a toy sea breeze owner and owner of a tire store I think you made a wise pick. and got a good price
  9. Syn oil shouldn't be used in a engine older than 1985, otherwise it is the best oil to use.\ As a toy seabreeze owner and auto shop owner I would't use anything but Syn oil.
  10. For my seabreeze I used the walker exhaust from NAPA, was a good fit, but needed to add a piece of straight pipe to make up for the length difference of a normal toy truck. e z to do yourself if you don't mind crawling on the ground
  11. I install this unit at the top of my motor home - wires routed down the fridge chase - not only is it a back up camera - I use it full time, attached to my rearview mirror (on windshield) for a full view of what is behind me like the rear view mirror, only no obstructions of the bath and small window.
  12. My filler neck to my gas tank leakes while filling up. Anyone had this problem and knows how to fix please email pdinc2@msn.com Thanks
  13. A Temp. rise of only 10* can cut 50% of the life of a tran.
  14. When you shut down, your cooling system also stops, building us max heat, your problem could be caused by may things incl. a bad ingnition modual, but befor you start throwing parts, have the truck check out when it is not starting, (fuel?, Spark, ect) to find which system is involved.
  15. If you go on the roof and remove the fridge vent cover, you can see down inside and know where to bolt up your unit. the area is very open. but not strong, you might need to install a backing plate to suport your tv mount.
  16. yes the 6 lug axle vs the 5 lug axle, the 6 lug is the better axle.
  17. I used a head gun, razor blades, and about 6 other bad ideas. Then found a product made by 3M - sold at Carquest, and NAPA parts stores, "woodgrain remover" But and I stress BUT follow the instructions to the letter, I got more done in 3 hours than all my 3weeks of trial and error.
  18. Try this web site - this is made for toy, homes http://www.jcwhitney.com/FIRESTONE-ADJUSTA...11960_10107.jcw This is what I have on my 89 Sea Breeze
