I do need a boat. My seams all split apart during the last Shasta trip. I was very lucky it didn't do it far out or I would have lost my motor too. This one is a little too big for me though. These things can create some bone crushing G forces. My bones are pretty old. I think I want to keep them not crushed. Linda S

Water is fine for now and you might be able to see where it's leaking. Leaking coolant on the ground is a no no. Animals will try to drink it, it's sweet, and die. Have you tried to start it since you reattached that hose. A vacuum hose off will make it not start. I also think your battery is probably too dead to start it anyway. Sorry we can't help more. Is the radiator full?

Not true. Here we would have called it a Cressida Mark II. A couple of tiny design differences but same engine and electronically controlled transmission. That same exact electronically controlled tranny, A340E, was also used in our campers during that time period. I have pulled the sensor were talking about from a 4Runner for another member. Linda S

People have been looking for this part for a long time. I found a post from 2015 where someone was talking about it being discontinued and couldn't find it. Don't know what to tell you. If you were in America I would say search salvage yards but most countries don't have the huge salvage yards we have in the USA. Linda S

I'm probably old enough to be your grandmother and I did mine. Couple of wires, couple of bolts and a lot of twisting and turning to get it out the bottom. Adjust the belt when you get it all back together with a lug wrench for leverage so it's tight enough. Not too tight though. Belt should still give at least a half inch when you press on it. Piece of cake. Just checked past posts. The fan cowl does need to come out and all the hoses on that side. Linda S

There are lots of them on Ebay but you should only have 2 cowl vents and they come as a pair. Can you show us a pic? Linda S

Tika who is a member here and the owner of toyota-campers@groups.io | Home owned an EZ Ryder for many years and put many miles on it. She always seemed very happy with hers. I don't know if she still has it but there is no way she would tolerate junk. I couldn't get a good picture from your link but be aware they can be very long. Up to 23 feet. As far as I know the longest Toyota motorhome made. Also if your used to the V6 the 22re might be a disappointment. Linda S

Not bad. So hard to find Onan 2.8 KW Generator - tools - by owner - sale - craigslist Linda S

Yes definitely a 6 lug. Hope it turns out well. Linda S

Think I found the one your talking about. In Utah? The front is 5 lugs not 6 Linda S
-
Actually the 6 lug wheel on the front started on 8/86. It was considered an 87 model but was built in 86 so it is possible it came that way. Either way it's a definite upgrade only having to carry I spare tire. Linda S

Yes easy for you to see if the fan belt is still there. Also check the oil. If the head gasket is blown the oil will look milky like coffee with cream instead of like oil should. Coolant might have an oily residue at the top too. Linda S

Supra may be a Toyota name but it's also the name for a company that makes key lockboxes. Some previous owner installed it to have an extra set of keys on hand. Might be useful if you knew the combination. Linda S

If it still looks good just post it on craigslist and say needs headgasket. List all the things you have had repaired and replaced so buyers know it had been taken care of. Since Toyota motorhomes are pretty hard to find now I would think you could get at least 5 or 6 grand. What was your mechanic's repair estimate. Linda S

Toyota discontinued that part. This a motorhome site but we have had quite a few members with the same problem. Your relegated to junk yard shopping or this place in Dubai. They have come through for members here before. Reasonable shipping prices and pretty fast https://toyotadxb.com/spare-parts/toyota/sensor-speed-8941122060/ Linda S Just realized where you are. They are right next to you.

Intimidated by floor repair, looking for guidance

When I say fiberglass epoxy think epoxy glue. When you really want something to hold your not going to buy Elmer's, your going to buy epoxy. Instead of a little tube now you've got a bucket of glue. Add some mat which doesn't add a lot of thickness and now what you've put together has a shear strength of hundreds of pounds more than staples are going to give you. The wood itself is stronger too. Any other type of fasteners will pull out of the wood under the constant vibration and stress of a motorhome. There are lots of floor repairs on this site. Please take some time to look at them Linda S -
I'm sure you can do the job and it's not all that complicated. The problem is getting it out. The power steering pump won't let you pull it out the top. Of course you can remove the whole radiator, big job, but I managed by just draining the coolant and removing the lower hose. I'm pretty sure I took the auto-trannie hose off too. plugged that one with a pen. Then with some twisting and turning the alternator will come out the bottom and new one goes in the same way. Just in case check your isolator. Remove wire that goes to the coach and see if it's showing any voltage at that terminal. If it is that might be your problem. Much easier and cheaper repair. Linda S

Staples are not strong. Marine plywood and the thickness is determined by how many layers and current thickness of floor. I have mentioned fiberglass and fiberglass epoxy many times. That is the best thing to coat wood with but at minimum polyurethane. ABS does not come in sheets like a plastic bag. Even the thinest requires heat to bend. You do not want to use the thinest. Thicker means stronger. I have fixed a Sunrader floor but nowhere near this extent. I still screwed up. Top layer of plywood was too thin and floor flexes too much. Hey guys someone else need to help on this. I'm at a loss. Linda S -
Not gone moved. I saved it when I couldn't contact Nolan who was the owner so I couldn't bring it to IO groups with the proper organization but I managed to save all the files. toyotachinook@groups.io | Home John is a member there but the site is not active. People usually jump in though if they see a new post. I've also heard John has a couple of groups on Facebook but I don't know what they are called. I don't Facebook so I can't search. Do these fittings look like yours? More Information for DORMAN C92972 (rockauto.com) Toyota parts don't go back farther than 79 and I don't know if they changed fittings from 78 to 79 Linda S
