  1. Might be a good idea to reduce the size of your pictures before posting them. Where I'm currently located this is a 5 minute download. Linda S
  2. Here is a list of shocks just for Toyota motorhomes. Not the same part numbers as regular trucks. Of course the Airlift is the air bag suspension but the other ones are shocks. Might not be the cheapest place to find them but you can take the part number and search around knowing they will be the right shocks for your rig. These do not fit on older than a certain age Toyota. Don't remember what year it changed but 82 or 83? Will fit all other years I think https://www.shockwarehouse.com/index.cfm?mode=results&selected_model=4485&selected_year=1988 Linda S
  3. When it comes to posting pictures I am officially the dumbest. After many years on Yahoo sites I've finally managed it. I will try here but I know your a secret member at my other site so just look at them. Jason was instrumental in Dave being able to repair his rig after it was rear ended. He provided proof that they really do sell for oodles of money so the insurance company didn't total it. Thank you again Jason. Linda S
  4. Just looked at a Sunrader with mega upgrades. 4x4 with rock crawler type upgrades and complete new interior. Too much for me to even remember. His rear seats just lift off to get access to his 2800 watt inverter and battery bank. He rebuilt the entire box to support this change. Jason, It's Dave's and you really need to see this. I will post the pics in a couple of days on my minitruckcamper site Linda S
  5. The tops of your bench seats are holding the structure together. Bottom front of seat is not strong enough on it's own. It will break unless you reframe to make it stronger and I don't know if there is enough room there to do it properly. Ask me how I know Linda S
  6. The L series engine came out in 77 but the 3L wasn't available until the late 80's. They start showing up in Australia on 1988 and later Hilux and Surf Linda S
  7. This is something your going to have to get used to. Sunrader owners can never see enough Sunraders. Even non Sunraders are going to want to check out your rig. Sunnynshare has also made major repairs to his rig and he's someone you should meet. Never hurts to have a helping hand and good advice nearby Linda S
  8. I have the manual for my Kohler 2500 and it doesn't give detailed specs but it does say will start and run 13,500BTU AC unit. The Onan specs for the 2800 say will start and run 13,500 Ac unit with 300 watts left over. Sounds like they are still rating generators the same as the old days Linda S
  9. Follow-up on this. Yes I do have a window but I told 85diesel to call around to auto window places and get a price on having new tempered glass made for his frame. He found a place willing to do it for only about 150 bucks. Way cheaper than even the cost of gas to get the one I have to him. Great price for a really big window Linda S
  10. Yeah I just got a complete set of Sunrader shorty windows. From an 87 so the rear window is bigger so you would have to make your opening a little bigger. Not width, height. I think nicer. Just have to figure out how to get it to you. PM me and we will talk. Gotta go to work now Linda
  11. Size of the air conditioner makes a big difference in the advice we need to give. The original AC in my Sunrader was only 7000 BTU's. Would be a good idea if you check and give us the make and model and BTU's if you can find it. The generators supplied in all Sunraders as an option was a Kohler with only 2500 watts so if your Sunrader still has an original AC system it probably isn't 13000 BTU's. Been a lot of years though and quite likely it has been switched out to a newer one Linda S
  12. Passive sanitary facilities too. You apparently go pee in a bush. And the passive AC. Is that cause heat rises and the roof is all open? It does look very European but not going to appeal to very many Linda S
  13. Here you go http://sacramento.craigslist.org/rvs/4514332302.html This has been for sale for a while. offer less but it should fit in your compartment. See if he still has the mounting brackets. Onan is the only manufacturer currently making permanently installed RV generators. Linda S Did you buy the Sunrader that was for sale in Davis a while back?
  14. Give me your model number. I have never seen one that didn't lock somehow. I mean they are for motorhomes Linda S
  15. Cool I was just coming back to say that mine didn't seem to be the same as the first one you posted but you already found me the right one. All I could find were those 120 volt starters. Like I'm really going to have 120 available before I try to start a generator to make 120. The 12 volt one looks perfect Linda S
  16. I would love to know where you found parts for this Kohler. I didn't know there were any parts left to be had. I need a starter. Linda S
  17. New shocks might be a good idea too. Don't remember if your changed them but will make a big difference if they are weak. Also check your rear sway bar and make sure it's tight and the bushings look good. Not a stock sway bar. I had to use marine bushings I found to replace mine. Shock bushings would work but I just didn't think if it at the time. Linda S
  18. Deb check inside the rear of the cabinets. There are screws that go into the rear wall on both sides. Your longer coach is going to have more room to bounce than mine but I have bounced my cabinets right off the back wall before. So not just the ceiling. Back wall too. Also I used the wood molding putty that you knead together and rolled it into thin strands and pushed it up into the screw holes. Packed as much as I could get up there, pushed in with teriyaki stick. Then let it dry and screwed into it. Gave a little more stuff up there to hold to. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3959143 Linda S
  19. I'm sure the next Quartzite rally will be announced here sometime before next Jan. the same person is also organizing the mid west rally also posted here. Unfortunately the number posted there is the same as earlier in this post. Can't help there but be patient. I'm sure it will be corrected Linda S
  20. Both original parts from 1986. If this were your home would you even think of using a refrigerator and water heater from 1986. I actually think they look pretty good for their age Linda S
  21. Skylight or roof vent. If it's just the roof vent you can buy one on ebay and put it in yourself in no time. I have done several. I am also near you if you want some pointers. If it's a skylight post a pic. None of these are very complicated to replace and Ideal charges $90 an hour labor. Linda S
  22. Me either but my curiosity would get the best of me. Linda S
  23. So you've seen this guy twice, hundreds of miles apart and you haven't talked to him yet. Shame on you. We need to know all the details of his rig Linda S
  24. I've been searching for parts for people for 10 years now and I have never come across 7/8 insert trim. Very likely that in 20 years it shrunk. I know all of mine has shrunk lengthwise so there are bare ends in the metal trim Linda S
