  1. Do you have 15 inch wheels on that? Linda
  2. 110 outlets need you to be plugged in unless you have a generator and it's on. 12 volt cigarette type outlets will work off the battery. Linda S
  3. Too funny. Looks like they mounted a little Sunrader coach onto a Dodge chassis. Maybe a station wagon? Linda S
  4. So does it look like you have only one tank under your RV. When Debbit's tank broke on her 84 Dolphin it was all one piece but internally there were 2 sections. One for the black and one for the gray but separated inside. Pretty sure yours is the same if it's the original tank. National RV certainly made plans so they didn't gas their customers to death. Linda S Oh yours is a rear dinette and middle bath. Some Sunraders came like this too like mine. I don't have a sink in mine and I never use the shower either but I do use the toilet and I have never had any bad smells come up from the shower drain. I wouldn't worry about it
  5. Tires-easy has very different shipping charges depending on where you live and the tire you buy. Some of their tires are crazy cheap to my location and others are very expensive. The Goform tires are only $9.45 to ship to my house but the Achillies are over 17 dollars per tire. Must depend on the warehouse the tires are stored at or location of their supplier for that tire Linda S I am less than an hour drive from their offices in Benicia but they do not allow any tire pickup. Everything must be shipped
  6. Just found the same tires in Moncton while I was sending him the ignore message so I PM'd him the new location. http://www.tireshack.ca/Nexen-SV-820-Tire-detail.htm?productId=5671150&shopBy=6160&catalogId=1031 Linda
  7. This was on the Mega RV count down on the travel channel. All made from aluminum composite panels and the builder said it was all glued together. No bolts or screw in the shell construction. http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-shows/mega-rv-countdown/photos/mega-rv-countdown-pictures?page=7 Linda S
  8. Good find. I sent him a PM with this information so he will see it sooner. Hope he gets it before he starts out Linda S
  9. Think the shell is bolted on with only 4 bolts. The floor will probably need major repair but not that hard once the cabinets and other stuff are out. I would resupport that floor from the inside before you remove it from the chassis. I would try to save the bathroom shell for reuse. Don't know how you would lift the whole thing but other guys here have done it. Yes the fiberglass shell should clean up nicely. Think of all the old boats sitting outside and everything is gone except for that fiberglass shell. Same thing. Linda S Search this site for rebuilding Sunrader and maybe you can get some ideas
  10. As uncivilized as we are down here we do have Canadian beer available. He also has a long way to transport this rig. Linda S
  11. Well he's much closer to that Walmart in Maine than he is to Quebec and their price is 30 bucks a tire cheaper. Might be a better idea. Linda S
  12. Walmart in Bangor Maine can have this tire for you in 6 days. probably Portland too http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hankook-Radial-RA08-Tire-185R14-8/17792669 Linda S
  13. Sounds like he was misinformed the same as me. Your tanks are older and he probably has never seen one. Maybe if you print out the picture JD took of the tank label on his Chinook and take it with you to the propane store. Sounds like your label is missing Linda S
  14. He seems to have an original generator and original air conditioner. Pretty sure they didn't come with hard start capacitators and darn sure that they all worked together properly when first sold. Either one of them is drawing too much power or the other isn't putting out enough. Could a bad wire in between cause this problem? Bad ground? Linda S
  15. Very ingenious but your local RV place is a rip off. I lose mine on a regular basis and never have paid more than 5 bucks for one. Cheap even at Camping World http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/bumper-cover-4-/6365 Linda S
  16. It should have been enough to start it when new. Lots of people are running those AC's with a Honda 2000 with no hard start capacitator. I would look into getting my generator serviced to see why it's bogging down. Linda S CMZ would make it a Kohler not Onan. Look again at your manual if you have one
  17. Don't know how far this is from you but this is one of the only rv bodies that would be able to be transferred to your chassis. http://richmondin.craigslist.org/rvs/4568827462.html Solid fiberglass with some work would make a nice water tight camper Linda S
  18. If his still has the original generator and it's the Kohler 2500 then it was supposed to be able to run a 13,000 BTU AC unit according to the manual. His AC is far smaller. Maybe the generator is just giving out and not pumping juice like it used to Linda S
  19. Ceiling on the west coast versions looks just like the walls. Paneling. Linda S
  20. Yes mine came with KYB's but I have no idea when they were installed or how old they are. After 10 years I have recently noticed they are not what they used to be. Time to start thinking about replacement. It could take me years to think about it though so I had better start now Linda S
  21. Since we have seen many owners have to replace completely shot leaf springs I would say the air bags at least increase the life span of those springs. My springs are still smiling nicely and showing no sign of wear Linda S
