  1. Wow that looks beautiful. I want some of those Linda S
  2. Very popular out in the woods especially where the sun doesn't shine much. As for Dometic not being the same company, large multinational companies go through lots of ownership changes with the core still being essentially the same. They also own Waeco, Attwood and a ton of other RV and marine product companies. Focus has not changed. Linda S
  3. no one answered your fridge question. this is the only place I know of that carries lots of parts for old appliances. enter the online parts catalog and drop down to fridge and then model number

  4. Wood not so good in person. Super cheap looking. Mine is not the pop top but wood is the same Linda
  5. I sure do love a Studebaker. Should be picking up an Avanti soon. Not really a Studebaker though. Avanti ll. Got the look but a Chevy engine Linda
  6. Yeah I could have been off on the engine size but just a guess from the pics that does look like the one I didn't jump on fast enough. It was 800 bucks. Dumb me Linda
  7. I missed out on a chance to buy a Woodsman a few years ago and I have been kicking myself for it ever since. They came with a 318 engine. Linda S
  8. No such thing as store mode, Bob's right, someone messed with your wiring and it's going to take some work to figure out what they did. Multimeter, Toyota wiring diagram and long hours is the only fix Linda S
  9. I wouldn't worry about the timing belt on the 4 cylinder engine but get the valves adjusted for best performance. Why weren't your tires balanced when they were installed. Does it shake when you drive it? Linda S
  10. If your putting the coach on a different frame what does it matter what truck it's on now. The 18 ft Sunrader coach is the same on the Nissan as the Toyota. I'm on the Los Gatos-San Jose boarder right now but only for a few more weeks. Bought a house in Eureka and almost done moving. Friend of mine who also owns a Sunrader up in Eureka met another guy who is completely remodeling an 84 Sunrader and converting it to 4x4. Haven't gotten a chance to see it yet but I will. Gutted the interior and is having all new rebuilt there too. Linda S
  11. I have been wondering why you seem to keep missing them. I live very close in San Jose and there have been a few for sale on craigslist in the past few months. Have you looked at the sale section here. Very nice one posted in southern Cal. Is it that the ones near us were not quite as nice as you would like. I pretty much stick with craigslist but if you don't see any really close expand the search. I flew to New York to pick up my Nissan Sunrader. You can also try Adhuntr http://www.adhuntr.com/ Try typing Sunrader different ways. Sunraider is common. Check eBay often and be prepared to pay for what you get. My girlfriend just sold her 87 shorty for 12 grand and she could have gotten more. Here's an 85 in southern Cal https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5520604153.html Nissan chassis Ventura http://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/5521944855.html Oh and when I started looking for a Sunrader it took me 2 years to find the one I wanted. It's not like you have your choice of thousands and the people who buy them usually keep them Linda S
  12. No other changes to the frame. Of course extra cab or short bed would require more alterations. Linda
  13. The most amazing Sunrader 4x4 I have ever seen has a GM 4.3 in it. Toyota original chassis. I have a 4.3 in my Tiger Provan. Gets as good mileage as my 22re Sunrader but fly's down the road. Best to do what inspires you Linda S
  14. The shorty Sunraders only have the frame extensions behind the rear wheel. Mine is 112 inch wheel base same as the long bed trucks. Just needs a little extra butt support Linda S
  15. Have no idea why the fluid is black but it has nothing to do with overdrive being off. Possible the heat generated by being on all the time could have dissolved some seals and takes more than a couple of changes to clear out all the gunk. I never use overdrive and in 60,000 miles my fluid has never turned black. Change my fluid at least every 2 years and at the most it's slightly browner but still very red. The constant shifting back and forth when overdrive is on can cause heat build up in the tranny and do damage Linda S
  16. Yeah 4 wheels in the back make for pretty good traction. Stopping is the problem. Snow banks are so useful Linda S
  17. Here are a bunch of service manual docs http://bryantrv.com/docs.html There is a Dolphin manual in our files. Don't know for what year Linda S
  18. I am waiting to get the number of a trannie place in Sac that did my daughter's Yukon. Might be far but quality and honesty are worth it. She was expecting to pay for a complete rebuild to the tune of several thousand dollars. This guy found the problem and repaired it for 600. I'll post it as soon as she calls. Don't know if they will work on motorhomes but her Yukon is longer and several thousand pounds heavier than my Sunrader. Height is the only issue Linda S

So no one answered your manual request. The manuals don't have much info in them. All the individual manuals for the appliances were included when new. Most are online at Bryant's RVmanuals. Easy Google find. I have a manual but for an 86 and I'm pretty sure there are some differences in the files section. Derek is better at finding that stuff than me. Maybe he can come up with one Linda S
  20. Well they did make a single wheel 1ton truck with no full floater but they never made it in a 4x4. It's just a regular 4x4 with a flat bed on it Linda S
  21. If you look at newer Okanagan's they have the scaled down top just like yours. My 15 year old daughter at the time could sit upright up there. She called it her upstairs apartment. Strange that there isn't a more active group. Lot's of em around. Usually go for a pretty penny too. Linda S
  22. I traveled all over the country in a van almost just like that. Body for those was made by Western Canada RV and in 87 which was the year of mine they were sold under the brand name Okanagan. I painted over the Okanagan name and renamed it Gypsy. Still miss that thing. Mine was on a Dodge chassis though with the 360. I would like to thank you for the wonderful projects you have posted. Your rear hitch installed was epic. Linda S
  23. Advantage RV Napa Ca. Google it. Not Adventure RV which will also usually come up. Linda S
  24. A lot of very old Craigslist reposts on that site. Linda S
