  1. Your at the source. Why go to Camping World. I doubt Camping World would even know what to order. Ronco is the name stamped on my 1986 Sunrader tanks. Buy there please Linda S
  2. So would it matter if one was for a V6 and the other was for the 4 cylinder? I think that might be the difference. His rig is a V6. Dually wasn't the difference, engine was. Linda S
  3. Unfortunately Toyota doesn't give lengths or details and I could not find an off brand equivalent to that part number. Only a junk yard dive would economically solve the question. Linda S
  4. That cable might not be the right one for your rig. The Toyota part number equivalent for the one you have is 35520-35090. Search of a Toyota factory parts site shows this one is the only correct one for the dual wheel trucks. Fitting Vehicle Options: VZN120, 85, 9#.. ATM Toyota Part No.: 35520-35050 CABLE ASSEMBLY, THROTTLE Part Description Cable Assy, Throttle Manufacturer Toyota. This genuine Toyota part is guaranteed by Toyota's factory warranty.
  5. A seamstress. Lots of people everywhere sew. The mounting hardware you would probably have to supply yourself. Look online for RV curtain hardware. Go to a fabric store and pick something you like after you find seamstress so she or he can tell you how much you need. Don't expect it to be cheap. There aren't any stock curtains that will fit and custom work always costs. Got any family that sews? Linda S
  6. Well excessive for every day use but in an end of the world scenario that is exactly the vehicle I want. Kind of looks more like a mobile research station than an RV Linda S
  7. That cable is supposed to be 49.6 inches long. Measure it and make sure the right one was in the box. 49 inches seems long enough Linda S
  8. Well I really hope it works. Be a great help to those who need springs. These have been the only other option and they cost twice the price https://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7485 Linda S
  9. This is one of the cleanest builds I have ever seen on any site. One of my friends son does Jaguars for concours shows where they literally swab the engine with Q-tips to check for cleanliness. At the rate your going you might have the first motorhome eligible to enter one. Going to pin this thread when your done. Linda S
  10. So your installing 4x4 springs in a 2wd. Certainly let us know how it goes. Great price too Linda S
  11. Stewart Gardner did not patent the Sunrader shell. Fiberglass was already being used for motorhomes and of course boats. He had a number of other patents. He invented the slide out which he first started using in his mobile home line. He had a patent for the snap and nap pop out used in the Amerigo campers and he did put those in a couple of Sunraders. Google it pretty cool extra sleeping area. When I first started doing these sites there was still lots of info about him. No longer, Google has pretty much forgotten him. Linda S
  12. Thump, thump when driving is usually caused by a bad tire. Belt separating makes the tire not round so it thumps. Linda S
  13. If your in it and using it I see no problem with leaving it plugged in for as long as you need. Switch the fridge to run on 110 and you'll be fine. I used to leave my Sunrader always plugged in with the fridge on so I could go at anytime and not keep moving all my condiments in and out of the fridge. Batteries still lasted 5 years or more which is a long as I would expect from any battery. I do check water though every few months. Sometimes it needed some but often it didn't Linda S
  14. I have doubts about his story so I don't think anyone is missing anything. The guy that still makes Sunrader windows in Napa, Ca. was the plant manager at Garner-Pacific in Vallejo, Ca. At least one of his current employees also worked there. The " owner " was a corporation that also owned plants in Indiana and elsewhere. At the time they made several brands of motorhomes and mobile homes too. Linda S
  15. Oh man your going to buy that for me? what a nice guy. Yeah I'd love it Linda S
  16. I've been driving my automatic with overdrive off for 14 years. Overdrive can cause the trannie to run hot and cause problems. Overdrive also cuts off at 4000 ft. I know some of that drive is high desert and might have been above the limit. Linda S
  17. He only visited this site the one time he posted. Never again. Linda S
  18. Where is this price located. I can't find a price anywhere on the site and can't find the model at any other retailers Linda
  19. I see no price. Have you checked. A friend bought some for his Sunrader from Australia and paid 125 each to get ones that fit. These look the same. Linda S
  20. You know where to find me. No California smog issues with me. Where I live is so rural you only have to pass smog when you buy. So I never need to smog my Sunrader ever again and whose to know it's diesel. Oh FUN Linda S
  21. Did you at any time have the battery disconnected for a while before you checked the code. No battery will clear your codes and stop the check engine light until you drive it again for a while. Computer has to relearn what's messed up Linda S
  22. Code readers are for OBD2. Not your vehicle. You simply count the flashes on the dash after you jump the connectors in the engine bay. Read the instructions Dan posted in the pdf file Linda S
  23. If you would ever consider doing another one please let me know. I will make it worth your time Linda S
  24. Most diesel RV's have propane generators. All those Sprinter based ones for example. Not new and widely used Linda S
