Stijn
Hi Everyone, Just added a solar setup to my Sunrader. Installed a 200W Renogy solar panel kit (great set and great company btw!). Wanderer charge controller. 12v 100Ah deep cycle battery and a 1000w Sine Wave inverter. Here's a couple pictures from the install. This only my temporary setup, and it would be great to hear some advice of you guys on final placements. Is that a good place for the battery? Is it ok with the gas line going above it? Anything I should know? FYI: Going to fixate the battery, so it can't go anywhere. And I will be cutting all the cables to the right lengths to increase performance once I know I have the perfect setup. Any ideas on where to place the Sine Wave inverter and on how I can connect my solar juice to the existing lighting, plugs, etc of the Sunrader? Kind of a noob in all of this Thanks!!! WME
Renogy sells both + and - ground systems. For safety sakes and equipment lifespan you should be using a - ground system on your RV

What exactly does that mean, and do you have any links to point to the proper way to wire the system? I have nearly the same setup as the OP (same panels, same battery but I have two), but I have a MPPT Tracer2210RN Solar Charge Controller instead of the OP's Wanderer charge controller. Thanks for any input. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KWPH12/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=
WME
The Wander is the - ground http://www.ebay.com/itm/Renogy-Wanderer-30A-PWM-Solar-Panel-Charge-Controller-Battery-Regulator-12V-24V-/301767367475?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT The Tracer is also - ground http://www.ebay.com/itm/Renogy-20A-MPPT-Renewable-Charge-Controller-Solar-Panel-Battery-Regulator-DC-/281230713254?ssPageName=STRK:MESE: This is the + ground controller http://www.ebay.com/itm/30A-PWM-Solar-Panel-Charge-Controller-Battery-Regulator-12V-24V-with-LED-/281074783069?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT The + ground really belongs in a cabin set up. ALL the lights, water pump, heater in our RV are grounded to the frame which is the - in the system. Hooking a + ground system to a - ground load makes weird smelling smoke.
