I will be picking my buddy up at the airport and we want to Primitive camp in the Colorado Rockies. We dont want people around us. Does anyone have any idea where we can do this? MontanaChinook Posted July 9, 2014 Share Posted July 9, 2014 The rockies are a big place! Anywhere in the rockies? When I was near Durango and Pagosa Springs, I didn't see hardly anyone. But that was in late April. Might be busier now. Any Forest Service area with dispersed camping should be good during the week.
