chefdave
Hi went to start a passive oil change on my auto box. when i went underneath to drain oil noticed oil on auto casing. toy not been moved in 24hrs thought better check oil level and dip stick after 3 readings came up higher than hot minimum reading. now is this unusual i'm going to take it for a drive tomorrow get oil warm and do another reading. engine will be running and will shift through all gears before leaving to idle or a couple of minutes. if there is to much oil in box what damage is likely to happen. any advice gratefully received thanks dave
Maineah
They are hard dip sticks to read. The reading will be different depending what side you read use the lower reading as the level. If it is way over full it will force some fluid out of the vent on the top of the case.
linda s
Readings will not show correctly until you have shifted through the gears and moved it forward and back. Need the pump running to get it into all the little spots. Your probably fine. Linda S
