RHS
I have a 1977 '18 Sunrader in good condition & 1986 Odyssey low mileage, good running gear, very bad roof and rotted rv part. Want to put Sunrader on Odyssey chassis. Chassis will have to be shortened (not seriously concerned have been a fabricator for years) some work but I think I can handle it. My concern is removing Sunrader without damaging it. Also mating to '86 cab. Has anyone done something like this or any help full ideas about jacking etc. not sure how floor is attached Thanks RHS Edited May 12, 2012 by RHS
WME
Your Sunrader has a piece of plywood glassed in as the floor. Over time it delamiates and the floor gets soft. The mfg didn't put enough floor braces in. Just scroll down a bunch and find the thread "Put the sawzall down". Most questions could be answered. Maybe do the reverse and make your Sunrader bigger

RHS
Project going well. shortened chassis & driveline 32". Chassis on '86 wider than '77 having to get different black water tank. Gas tank on '86 in rear had to remount filler spout. Battery for rv on early units under hood not sure where Sunrader put them in '86 a couple options, still thinking. May move air filter box & put under hood. The '18 Sunraders are small enough don't want to take more room for battery box. Will let you know what I did. Totem
my 86 sunrader (21 foot) has its own separate battery box right above the permanant propane tank on driver side. the box is sealed steel.
RHS
Thanks Totem this 18' has propane tank in center of back. About the only place the battery box could go is the only storage access to the outside under the rear seat drivers side but that is the only storage space not sure I want to use that space up. It would have to be a sealed box open to outside. RHS
