1992 Toyota Daytona Selling Price help

Recommended Posts

Pricing help please!  Hello all. We live on Vancouver Island and recently purchased a 1992 Toyota Daytona by Cobra with only 95,127 original KM (59109 Miles.) She was going to be our home on the road while we travelled North America but life threw us a curve and we've had to cancel our travel plans. That being the case we unfortunately need to part with my dream RV before we even get to use her.

I am hoping to get some opinions on a selling price. With limited comparables, especially here in BC I'm hoping to get an idea from people in the know. Mechanically excellent. I have had all deficiencies professionally repaired making sure she was ready for some long haul travelling. Truck cab is excellent with no rust. The coach is in good shape for its age with the original interior. Could use a refresh and some paint but still functional as is. The previous owner "crunched" the rear corner but has all been repaired and passed all Provincial inspections however the grey tank was removed and never replaced. All things we planned on doing as we went along, but sadly won't get the chance to do. I would appreciate any pricing info. Feel free to ask any questions! I've included a few pictures to give a better idea.

Costs vary in different regions of the country. The stick build type (like yours) doesn't command the kind of prices that the fiberglass models do. You mentioned having recently purchased the RV yourself. What you paid recently is likely close to what it is worth.

Thanks for the input Scott iv! I do understand the variances in pricing and availability in different parts of the country or continent. I'm just hoping to hear some price opinions as I can't really use my purchase price as a logical starting point. I'm wanting to understand a bit better, after the work and $$ I've put in what a fair selling price would be to sell in a reasonable time frame. I appreciate your reply!

  • 2 weeks later...

I received an insurance payout of 14,500.00 for my 91/92 Warrior in October 2022.

Put the rig off the road for a brief trip through a stand of alders.

Insurance declared it a total loss.

I purchased the rig back for  4k from the insurance company.

Full coverage motorhome policy from S t a te F a r m 220.00 per year.

The layout of your rig really apeals to me having spent much of the last ten years living and working out of my ToyHomes.

For the most part these rigs have no comfortable place to sit for extended periods. So having multiple places is the next best thing.

Change where you sit and lay down so you do not get out of whack.

So the layout of yours is really inviting.  If you invite someone in they can sit in the chair or the settee on the pass side and you can

be a host without having to move around the hosted.

It is a good looking rig and set up well.
