Paigeellen
Hi everyone ! My brother is coming to the Dave Mathews festival with my boyfriend and I . It’s about a 4 hour drive and he need a ride . Our camper has seatbelts and I know of course it’s not the safest but he’s a consenting adult ! The question is , my brother is a big man lol at least over 250…. Can the dolphin handle that extra weight ? We don’t bring much else except food and drinks but no big toys or anything like that !
Gary_M
Depends on how good of shape the engine is in. Check the tire pressure for sure. I've traveled to tailgates with 5 people no problem, just very slow on the hills of downtown Seattle almost going backwards. 😉 Take it easy on the mountain passes if your going that way and if the temperature gauge starts running high pull off and let it cool down. Gary Thank you! It’s a v6 engine and only had 24,000 original miles on it ! We bought it about a month ago and it had been checked out by a mechanic and needed three new fuel injectors due to it not being driven for a whiles , that’s all been fixed and beside that nothing wrong with motor! Would weight be an issue for the axel ? Like would it be smarter to have him in the passenger seat since I’m smaller ? Thank you
linda s
We had a member here who went to Mexico from Canada or Minnesota but way up north every year with his 3 or 4 kids and kayaks and bikes and lots of junk. Just make the big guy sit in the passenger seat up front and your cool. Linda S
john*thomas
They were designed to sleep 4 so I have to assume the manufacturers considered this much weight. I've carried three. I'd say we topped 600lbs total. (I'm the only one under 200).
